Does the thing about ridges in your nails mean mineral deficiency hold true?

I mean ridges side to side, not top to bottom.

My big toenails both have a big ridge in them like a cm from the end (so like 6 months ago maybe). It's getting to the tip now.

From what I've discerned through observation, it is possible you had a viral infection at the time the ridge (is it a ridge or a dent?) was formed, but you recovered from it. I don't know about the minerals.

Oh, it might be a dent? It appears to be. Looks like it goes higher and lower.

I have them on some toenails, too. I believe mine is the autoimmune thing.
