Does solely rasing the body temperature also increase the metabolic rate?

Peat said this and it got me thinking:

"Warm showers can lower stress, and if the bath isn't too warm, it's effective, too; if the bath raises the body temperature, that can cause the metabolism to increase, sometimes causing low blood sugar."

Yes, take DNP for example. It promotes uncoupling and significantly boosts the metabolic rate. A warm bath is different than uncoupling, but has a similar but much milder effect.

so saunas are helpful? thats interesting and good to know... for low metabolic people saunas can be useful then

is DNP something thats prescription only?
and, does it only cause side effects via actually over heating?
as long as you dont overheat, its basically very Peaty and pro metabolic?

2,4-Dinitrophenol (DNP)

is said to be dangerous as its LD50 is uncomfortably close to the effective dose.

isnt its death caused by overheating of the metabolism, which would mean its the most Peaty way to pass away? are there any other substances out there which have this sort of potential side effect, of basically heating up the metabolism too much
