Does colder weather lower blood sugar?

Hey all!
As the last few days have been particularly cold I swear my blood sugar keeps tanking when it usually would not. It's possible I'm imagining it, or there are some other factors at play, but nothing else has changed as far as I know.
Any thoughts??

Thank you in advance xx

Those of us who are hypothyroid tend to be colder-blooded - that is, our body temparature goes up and down more depending on the ambient temperature. Many chemical processes in the body work most effectively in a narrow 'normal' body temperature, and less effectively or differently at lower temps.
Cold tends to make muscles tense (and shiver if cold enough), so it wouldn't surprise me if this burns more fuel too.
