Ive read reports of people who have used things like cetirizine for a long time and upon cessation they ended up having huge rebound effects. Itching all over body. Lots of sneezing?

Is this a rebound effect?

Any natural powerful mast cell stabilizers people suggest that wont have any rebound effects?

i am looking for something that doesn't inhibit muscle growth as well. Ive read luteolin is a great mast cell stabilizer but it inhibits pge2 which is necessary for muscle development

Even better if someone has a suggestion for a topical mast cell stabilizer i am all ears.

Not powerful, not natural, but very helpful: low dose H2 + H1 antagonists. I use 10 mg Pepcid AC plus 1/2 Benedryl morning and bedtime. The combination has been tremendously helpful for my chronic cough. Most allergy meds by themselves don't work for me long term.

A doctor diagnosed me with probable MCAS and put me on montelukast a year ago, but it gave me headaches and I couldn't tolerate it.

I'd need a prescription - I'll ask my doc and see if he will prescribe it.

I used to give my son freeze dried stinging nettles & quercetin oral.
Nettles have many medicinal uses, one of which is for Atopic disorders such as eczema, allergies, hives, and allergic asthma.
(Atopic disorders are disorders that involve an exaggerated IgE-mediated immune response; all atopic disorders are type I hypersensitivity disorders; most allergic disorders are in this category, but not all of them. Eczema, hives, hay fever, seasonal respiratory allergies, and allergic asthma are all in this category.)

He used Nasalcrom before going out in nose and also had prescribed as eye drops.

Exploring the effects of homeopathic Apis mellifica preparations on human gene expression profiles
Apis mellifica TM modifies gene expression in human cells and has inhibitory effects on regulatory processes of inflammation; in addition, extremely diluted dynamized dilutions (3C, 5C and 7C) still exert significant effects on genes involved in inflammation and oxidative stress.
