More and more frequently I'm hearing and reading articles that state that calcium (from lowfat and nonfat dairy) helps a person lose weigth well not weigth but fat. I always wondered what the calcium does to promote fatloss.
Today I saw yet again an article with such a statement, but this one claimed that calcium binds fats in the gut and flushes them out through bowels. Is that true?...or are there maybe other reasons?
Ofcourse they always talk about lowfat (what is considered lowfat anyway)/nonfat , but what about whole milk, cheeses,Ricotta, cream etc.? According to that theory, the calcium in those products could immediately bind towards its own fat?
