I do not know the mechanism behind heart attacks happening because of a caffeine+alcohol combination. I would assume the antiplatelet effect would stop it from happening.

I don't think caffeine increases heart attack risk. In fact, virtually every study published on caffeine/coffee shows a protective effect in the range of 2-5 cups a day. And even though coffee has other nutrients in it, it's metabolic effects are undoubtedly due to caffeine.I do not know the mechanism behind heart attacks happening because of a caffeine+alcohol combination
