2-4 weeks for thyroid to recover- actually wise to keep carbs high and keep a calorie defecit to mitigate fat regain ie 2200 calorie mantinenace x .10-.20 (depending on t3 used or t3:t4) 1800 calories maintnenace

you're BMR will change... so i am doing a very low at diet moderate protein high carb to support thyroid but keep calories below my maintnenace level so that I don't regain body fat

People can and do reduce and eliminate their doses of thyroid supplements. There are some studies on Red Light Therapy with Thyroid patients that did just that. (Check out Valtsu's blog, it's written by Vladimir Heskanian). My own experiments with Red Light have led me to reduce my own dose, I think I might be able to discontinue it at some point.
did you come off eventually of the thyroid meds? are you still using red light on the thyroid?
