The nervous system can be damaged by long term over excitation / over stimulation. The adrenal's make many people think of adrenaline since the names are so close. That being said, they produce more than just adrenaline. And adrenaline's effect is sometimes very very misunderstood. So, it works like this: First, the body releases adrenaline as it provokes an immediate emergency response to any acute stress and is intended only for a short time and has a short half-life. Then the body produces cortisol to take over and handle any stress that continues (is chronic).See title. Does adrenaline damage the nervous system?
