It's primary property is supposed to be anti estrogen...I'll be curious to hear your feedback. I've not met any people who've given the mushrooms a go...raw carrot seems to be the most popular.

FYI...bamboo shoots eliminate my BO when consuming. However, I do not enjoy them all that much unfortuately. When coaching my athletes i recommend they experiment with all 3 anti estrogen Foods and see which works for them the best.

Why do they want you to go on a ketogenic diet?
FYI...functional medicine doctors are heavily influenced by Dr. Mark Hyman, MD - low carbs. He has been deeply involved in this movement so that is why the push for low carbs from these doctors.

I'll report back! I actually haven't tried bamboo shoots yet because they don't sound appealing, but I probably should try them.

That is interesting. I didn't know that. I remember reading articles by him years ago when I first started to research nutrition.

So many my area that I know of recommend low carb. After studying the Peat material, it doesn't make sense because energy production seems to be so central to all of this. I don't even think I ever successfully switched to fat burning when I was low carb. I just lost my energy and got even more stressed out and inflamed.

Me too! Stress factors went up by 1000%. Estrogen dominance magnified, became super hypothyroid and on and on and on. Actually on Peat ideas with adjustments for my individual case, I have never felt so healthy, ever.

My tip with doctors, is to not go for the same defect they have!
I mean not to answer blocked on your point of view.
Try to go the more human way, like "I come to you because you know your job, but I am the best specialist of myself."
They know a lot, so do not block a doctor on the point of knowledge, they hate it.
But you know yourself, and they cannot denie it.

Also I use things like "we are all the same, that is to say we are humans obeying the same general laws, but we are at the same time all different, and so we have some experience of ourself".
If you cannot reach a cooperation mode with a doctor, how can you work?
Work together is the goal. Go to a human level while talking.

Low carb is good if it is low carbohydrates and not low sugar.
I had bad results with sugar when I was still eating carbs. I stopped carbs and the sugar problem was gone, no more ORL problems nor acnea problem.
Before this change, I had a very bad opinion about sugar, because sugar meant a red spot in my face the same or next day!

I have gone on a high fat diet, but with mayonnaise mixed with banana. An emulsion saves your liver from doing the job....
This morning I had avocado, egg, butter and bananas, which makes a very nice cream.

I will try the mushrooms, I am just surprised about boiling 1 hour, is it absolutely 100% necessary?
I am surely estrogenic, though never on birth control pill, or almost, anyway I was not relyable to take it every day, so better stop!
I have a slow metabolism, so I will report the result.
Do you need to eat them every day?
Are the canned ones ok when lacking the fresh ones?
