Yes and Peat said it is fine to use to warm food. I just wouldn't stand near it when it was on just in case.

Thanks. I use it to heat my bone broth for 5 minutes, and sometimes cook organic chicken for 15 minutes. I stay as far away from it as possible when it is on.

I read once that it's fats you shouldn't microwave. No idea if it's credible but they way it was phrased made sense to me. I just use the microwave to heat up par-boil rice (brands like Tilda or Uncle Ben's in the UK), though sometimes I heat them on the hob with vinegar or water instead.

Using it occasionally is fine I'm sure, but I just don't think there are shortcuts in health. I have learned this lesson in so many arenas that I have an innate discomfort with things that create unnatural convenience.

Why would you not use a microwave oven if on the other hand you are willing to put a cell phone up to your ear or use wifi?

Which is more dangerous?
