I have read, although I have no way to verify this, that most of the copper supplements being sold now are prepared in a way that pretty much makes them useless. I think the explanation was that they are mixed with an alkaline filler or somehow their PH is messed up during their processing. Can any of you say with certainty that a copper amino acid chelate has been helpful, or not helpful for you?
In the past I made the mistake of going for a few months with very low dietary copper and want to shore my body stores up. I would welcome a post from anyone who has a scientific or pharmaceutical background and can verify whether the processing could even cause a problem with how the copper supplements will work.
