- Around 1872, with 98% of the population between ages 2 and 50 vaccinated against smallpox,England experienced its worst ever smallpox outbreak, with 45,000 deaths. During the same period in Germany, with a vaccination rate of 96%, there were over 125,000 deaths from smallpox. (The Hadwen Documents)

- In Germany, compulsory mass vaccination against diphtheria commenced in 1940. By 1945,diphtheria cases were up from 40,000 to 250,000. (Don`t Get Stuck, Hannah Allen)

- In the USA in 1960, two virologists discovered that both polio vaccines were contaminated with the SV 40 virus, which causes cancer in animals, as well as changes in human cell tissue cultures. Millions of children had received these vaccines. (Med Jnl of Australia 17/3/1973 p555)

- In 1967, Ghana ( strike that: it was GAMBIA actually) was declared measles free by the World Health Organisation after 96% of its population was vaccinated. In 1972, Ghana experienced one of its worst measles outbreaks with its highest ever mortality rate. (Dr H Albonico, MMR Vaccine Campaign in Switzerland, March 1990)

- In the UK, between 1970 and 1990, over 200,000 cases of whooping cough occurred in fully vaccinated children. (Community Disease Surveillance Centre, UK)

- In the 1970`s a tuberculosis vaccine trial in India involving 260,000 people revealed that more cases of TB occurred in the vaccinated than the unvaccinated. (The Lancet 12/1/80 p73)

- In 1977, Dr Jonas Salk, who developed the first polio vaccine, testified along with other
scientists that mass inoculation against polio was the cause of most polio cases throughout the USA since 1961. (Science 4/4/77 "Abstracts")

- In 1978, a survey of 30 States in the US revealed that more than half of the children who contracted measles had been adequately vaccinated. (The People`s Doctor, Dr R Mendelsohn)

- In 1979, Sweden abandoned the whooping cough vaccine due to its ineffectiveness. Out of 5,140 cases in 1978, it was found that 84% had been vaccinated three times! (BMJ 283:696-697, 1981)

-The February 1981 issue of the Journal of the American Medical Association found that 90% of obstetricians and 66% of pediatricians refused to take the rubella vaccine.

- In the USA, the cost of a single DPT shot had risen from 11 cents in 1982 to $11.40 in 1987. The manufacturers of the vaccine were putting aside $8 per shot to cover legal costs and damages they were paying out to parents of brain damaged children and children who died after vaccination. (The Vine, Issue 7, January 1994, Nambour, Qld)

- In Oman between 1988 and 1989, a polio outbreak occurred amongst thousands of fully vaccinated children. The region with the highest attack rate had the highest vaccine coverage. The region with the lowest attack rate had the lowest vaccine coverage. (The Lancet, 21/9/91)

- In 1990, a UK survey involving 598 doctors revealed that over 50% of them refused to have the Hepatitis B vaccine despite belonging to the high risk group urged to be vaccinated. (British Med Jnl, 27/1/1990)

- In the November 1990 issue of the Journal of the American Medical Association, an article on measles stated: "Although more than 95% of school-aged children in the US are vaccinated against measles, large measles outbreaks continue to occur in schools and most cases in this setting occur among previously vaccinated children." (JAMA, 21/11/90)

- In the USA, from July 1990 to November 1993, the US Food and Drug Administration counted a total of 54,072 adverse reactions following vaccination. The FDA admitted that this number represented only 10% of the real total, because most doctors were refusing to report vaccine injuries. In other words, adverse reactions for this period exceeded half a million! (National Vaccine Information Centre, March 2, 1994)

- In the New England Journal of Medicine, July 1994 issue, a study found that over 80% of children under 5 years of age who had contracted whooping cough, had been fully vaccinated.

- On November 2nd, 2000, the Association of American Physicians and Surgeons (AAPS) announced that its members voted at their 57th annual meeting in St Louis to pass a resolution calling for an end to mandatory childhood vaccines. The resolution passed without a single "no" vote. (Report by Michael Devitt)

And some more quotes:

. Japan banned MMR vaccine 1993,. after a record number of children developed adverse reactions, including meningitis, loss of limbs, and death.

. The New York Times ran an article stating that Mumps is making a comeback despite most people being vaccinated against it. The childhood MMR vaccine, which includes Measles, Mumps, and Rubella, is apparently failing to work correctly by offering the “lifetime immunity” to Mumps. Pediatricians are claiming that recent Mumps outbreaks have nothing to with parents choosing to avoid the vaccine, rather, with the Mumps vaccine being less effective than we’ve always assumed. Solution? More, more and more vaccines,of course :D

. Measles outbreak among 100% vaccinated students of High School-Illinois 1983,

. More than 30.000. measles case in Mongolia with 98% vaccinated population in
2016. (country with only 3 millions people.) http://apps.who.int/immunization_monitoring/globalsummary/countries?coun...

Thanks @burtlancast

This is very interesting. There is such suppression of any modicum of free speech when it comes to vaccination. Being an “anti vaxxer” makes you automatically subject to ad hominem attacks as no better than some sort of murderer.

Having been among the 1950's school children vaccinated TWICE for polio (shots, then a couple years later oral drops on sugar cubes, 2-3 doses for each), I am undoubtedly infected with SV-40. What "effects" might I be expected to have?

I don't know but I had polio, so I got to stay out of the vaccine line.

Vaccinology is a religion that can't be questioned by it's followers despite numerous signs it's not safe or effective.

The source of these quotes are dubious, while I don't agree with vaccines, I try my best to source high quality scientific information, otherwise we get labeled as quacks for cherry picking information.

I totally agree. If you even mention some vaccine facts, people look at you like "Oh, you're one of them...". Then if you don't change your view, immediately, they resort to fear-mogering and, as you said, they don't hesitate to use ad hominem attacks.

Right.

Because I'm staunchly against vaccines I believed the quotes fairly easily, but some of them seemed to be cherry picking so I wanted to find the Jonas quote but could only find websites citing the quote and the reference for it seems to be gone. Then I began searching some more and found this website that broke down some of these quotes: The Physics Police: Vaccines Work

Hard to say how true each quote is. Dr. Suzanne Humphries does a much better scientific job at breaking down each vaccine. She dispells myths, uses studies to refute studies, and shows verifiable data on effectiveness and reveals facts about the dangers.

There you go:

"Jonas Salk admitted he was responsible for the polio epidemic.

Doctors and scientists on the staff of the National Institutes of Health during the 1950s were well aware that the Salk vaccine was causing polio. Some frankly stated that it was “worthless as a preventive and dangerous to take.” They refused to vaccinate their own children. Health departments banned the inoculations.

The Idaho State Health Director angrily declared: “I hold the Salk vaccine and its manufacturers responsible” for a polio outbreak that killed several Idahoans and hospitalized dozens more. Even Salk himself was quoted as saying: “When you inoculate children with a polio vaccine you don’t sleep well for two or three weeks.” But the National Foundation for Infantile Paralysis, and drug companies with large investments in the vaccine coerced the U.S. Public Health Service into falsely proclaiming the vaccine was safe and effective.

In 1976, Dr. Jonas Salk, creator of the killed-virus vaccine used in the 1950s, testified that the live-virus vaccine (used almost exclusively in the U.S. from the early 1960s to 2000) was the “principal if not sole cause” of all reported polio cases in the U.S. since 1961. (The virus remains in the throat for one to two weeks and in the feces for up to two months. Thus, vaccine recipients are at risk, and can potentially spread the disease, as long as fecal excretion of the virus continues.

In 1992, the Federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) published an admission that the live-virus vaccine had become the dominant cause of polio in the United States. In fact, according to CDC figures, every case of polio in the U.S. since 1979 was caused by the oral polio vaccine. Authorities claim the vaccine was responsible for about eight cases of polio every year [46]. However, an independent study that analyzed the government’s own vaccine database during a recent period of less than five years uncovered 13,641 reports of adverse events following use of the oral polio vaccine. These reports included 6,364 emergency room visits and 540 deaths. Public outrage at these tragedies became the impetus for removing the oral polio vaccine from immunization schedules."

So, which quote seems untrue to you again ?

The Great Polio Vaccine Debate Is Revived

The Great Polio Vaccine Debate Is Revived

By David Hendin NEA Science Editor NEW YORK - (NEAI - The longest living feud in American medical science has surfaced once again. It surprised a lot of people who had thought that the oncegreat debate over the polio vaccine ended long ago. It didn't That fact was made clear at the recent hearings of Sen Edward M Kennedy's (D-Mass.) Senate Health subcommittee. The hearing didn't make front-page news. But it probably should have since the salient points raised over the currently used oral polio vaccine were not only striking, but essentially unknown to the public. After all these years of being "protected" by the oral polio vaccine, four eminent scientists told the Senate subcommittee that this vaccine, indeed, has actually caused nearly all of the reported cases of polio in the United States since 1961 and listen to this may well be riskier than no vaccine at all Dr. Jonas Salk, the man who developed the original polio vaccine now no longer used in this country told the Senate subcommittee that the live-virus vaccine, developed by Dr. Albert Sabin, was “the principal if not the sole cause” of the 140 polio cases reported in the United States since 1961 “At the present time the risk of acquiring polio from the live-virus vaccine is greater than from naturally occurring viruses, " he said In Finland and Sweden, where Salk's killed-virus vaccine is used exclusively, there hasn't been a single case of polio since 1964 for Finland and 1963 for Sweden, according to Senate testimony by Prof, Kan Penttinen of the University of Helsinki. In Norway, however, where the live-virus vaccine has been used since 1965 there is about one case of polio for each 300,000 population annually, Penttinen said. Metaphorically, Salk explains the difference in principle between the live-virus vaccine and the killed virus vaccine: ' We can say that the live virus vaccine approach is based, in part, on fighting fire with fire, whereas the killed virus vaccine is based upon insulation against fire The use of fire to fight fire occasionally backfires. . ." These “backfires" are the exact problems that were brought before the Kennedy subcommittee. Even the U S. Center for Disease Control, whose top officials have strongly backed the live-virus vaccine over the killed-virus approach and continue to do so admitted that more than half of the cases of polio reported in the United States in the last three years were vaccine-associated This problem was forseen by some experts years ago. We have recently obtained a copy of a 1960 letter from Eugene N Beesley, then president of the giant Eli Lilly pharmaceutical firm to Dr Leroy E, Burney, then Surgeon General of the United States. In the letter Beesley reports why his organization “has decided not to manufacture live poliovirus vaccine. . ." 'Generally.'' he wrote to the Surgeon General, “we believe the use of vaccines made from killed viruses is preferable to live viruses since, in our opinion, the latter can never be entirely controlled in their effects As you know, there are troublesome reactions to all live-virus preparations '' Beesley summed up by noling his firm's belief that “We feel that had a livepoliovirus vaccine been introduced first, very probably a killed polio vaccine would not have been considered an improvement." Eventually the Lilly firm gave in to commercial pressures and dropped the Salk vaccine in favor of the live-virus product. Today, however, they have also dropped the live-virus polio vaccine, and are out of the polio vaccine business altogether One factor that precipitated the recent Senate hearings is that Lederle Laboratories, the sole remaining American maker of the live-virus polio vaccine, had been standing fast by terms of its contracts with state and federal government agencies. These contracts say that whenever the oral polio vaccine is administered by anyone who is not a physician, the patient, or the patient s parent or legal guardian, must sign an informed consent form stating that they understand the potential but minimal risk associated with the vaccine. Since there was resistance to these contract terms, Lederle had been refusing to ship vaccine and fears of shortages had developed A second factor that again brought the polio problem before the public was the great brouhaha over the Swine Flu vaccine. Firms producing the Swine flu vaccine had refused to distribute it unless the federal government provided them with a kind of liability insurance against claims by vaccine recipients who may have adverse reactions. The government finally agreed to this This called to public attention the longer standing request by Lederle Laboratories, among others, to deal with the liability problem of the live-virus polio vaccine.

It is ironic that the polio vaccine controversy has gone public again because of the Swine flu controversy. It was back in the 1940s that Dr. Thomas Francis, of the University of Michigan School of Public Health, and a young colleague, successfully developed the first viable killed-virus vaccine against several strains of influenza That young colleague was Jonas Salk. It was largely because of this experience that Salk eventually moved along to develop his own killed-virus polio vaccine at the University of Pittsburgh The scientific dogma of those days was that only vaccines made of live-but-weakened viruses could immunize effectively. This was the dogma that Jonas Salk questioned from the very outset of his polio work But to question that dogma in the atmosphere of polio research of the 1940s was heresy of the worst sort. “Minds were already made up,'' Salk told me “What had once been skepticism about the attempts to develop an effective killed vaccine was now becoming an ideological conflict It was developing into a war against the killed vaccine principle waged by persons devoutly unable to reconcile themselves to its heresies, which were my heresies. How dare I claim that the world is round, not, flat?" In the past several years there have been a number of lawsuits and court judgments against pharmaceutical firms because of polio cases apparently due to live-virus vaccine they had manufactured, A Texas court decided one pharmaceutical firm should pay $200,000 damage because of one victim's paralysis. It is important to note that the vaccine was not defective. Such reactions are simply a possible - albeit small - risk with the live-virus polio vaccine.

It strikes some observers as strange that Jonas Salk has been predicting this scenario for years.

Also from that page: "At the turn of the 20th century, the robber baron Rockefellers got rid of homeopathic hospitals. This occurred just after the millions of deaths during 1918-19 proved conclusively that homeopathy was curative and safe and the new synthetic drugs like aspirin were a medical disaster. The Rockefellers used their self-aggrandizing "philanthropy" to take control of medical schools, medical education and medical research from which no word about effective natural cures escaped because organic cures utterly threatened the new investment industry of synthetic drugs and vaccines.

The millions of 1918-19 deaths were triggered by militarily mandated vaccines, and a commercial, government, and medically instigated terror which led to the medical use of and the public purchase of highly toxic aspirin, but those deaths were laid at the door of a non-existent "virulent Spanish flu" to cover up a pharmaceutical industry catastrophe that would have warned the world away from the new synthetics."

Be careful, Janelle/Sugarbabe won't believe a word you type unless it's certified by Grant Genereux, Suzanne Humphries, and isn't backed up by readily accessible references that you'll have to dig yourself as she's too busy investigating how poisonous Vit A really is.

In the past several years there have been a number of lawsuits and court judgments against pharmaceutical firms because of polio cases apparently due to live-virus vaccine they had manufactured, A Texas court decided one pharmaceutical firm should pay $200,000 damage because of one victim's paralysis. It is important to note that the vaccine was not defective. Such reactions are simply a possible - albeit small - risk with the live-virus polio vaccine.

It strikes some observers as strange that Jonas Salk has been predicting this scenario for years.
Yeah I agree with all of that thank-you for finding the source, I couldn't find it based on the reference. The polio vaccines have many controversies but no one seems to care. "no one seems to notice, no one seems to care" ~George Carlin

Also I can't share anything with references to Natural News, it will be immediately labeled as disinformation without looking into anything Mike Adams says. That's what has happened with the effort to get the truth out.

Be careful, Janelle won't believe a word you type unless it's certified by Grant Genereux, Suzanne Humphries, and isn't backed up by readily accessible references you'll have to dig yourself because she's too busy investigating how poisonous Vit A is than to look them herself.
Whoa, I didn't see this reply before hitting send on my last comment. You are now attacking my character which has no place in a forum like this. I haven't been studying the vitamin A thing in weeks.

Well, still waiting for any evidence for my remaining 16 quotes being dubious, according to your research.

I haven't been studying the vitamin A thing in weeks.

I'm not sure why you are being so defensive I wanted more verifiable references for these quotes because some seem cherry picked and dubious.

-The one about measles outbreaks:
Here is the actual study: Risk Factors for Measles in a Previously Vaccinated Population and Cost-effectiveness of Revaccination Strategies
"Using data from a large measles outbreak that occurred in Dane County (Wisconsin) in 1986, we conducted a case-control study to evaluate risk factors for vaccine failure and assessed the cost-effectiveness of school-based revaccination strategies. Vaccination before a change in the measles vaccine stabilizer in 1979 (odds ratio, 5.5; 95% confidence interval, 1.05 to 28.9) and vaccination before age 15 months (odds ratio, 13.9; 95% confidence interval, 5.9 to 32.6) were identified as risk factors. Revaccination strategies for all students ($3444 per case prevented), students vaccinated before 1980 ($3166 per case prevented), and students vaccinated before age 15 months($2546 per case prevented) were evaluated, assuming use of measles-mumps-rubella vaccine after the initial case was detected in a school. However, a large proportion of cases (43% to 53%) may not have been preventable using these strategies. Therefore, revaccination in all schools assessed to be at risk for measles may be necessary to prevent large outbreaks until a two-dose vaccination schedule is fully implemented."

The problem with using these old studies on outbreaks is that they were clearly still working out why there was vaccine failure, the schedule now has two doses of the MMR. Every year 120,000 children still fail to develop immunity with the 2 doses given. So again I'm not arguing in favor of more vaccinations, I just want good information. There are loads of verifiable data on outbreaks occurring in vaccinated people, why not use those?

- In the UK, between 1970 and 1990, over 200,000 cases of whooping cough occurred in fully vaccinated children. (Community Disease Surveillance Centre, UK)

The UK surveillance centre is now called Public Health England - Centre of Infectious Disease Surveillance and Control - EPIET and I can't find any data on Pertussis from earlier than 1994. Here is the UK pertussis data page: Pertussis: guidance, data and analysis
The problem with a quote like this is it's very hard to verify it. If you were to post an article of pertussis outbreaks where the patients who contracted it were vaccinated that would be believable, but with a quote that you can't find anywhere it causes someone to dismiss the information.

-- In 1967, Ghana was declared measles free by the World Health Organisation after 96% of its population was vaccinated. In 1972, Ghana experienced one of its worst measles outbreaks with its highest ever mortality rate. (Dr H Albonico, MMR Vaccine Campaign in Switzerland, March 1990)

I did find a paper on measles in Ghana and it says this:
"Reported cases of measles in Ghana de-creased by 72% from 82,684 in 1980 to 23,068 in 2000 (figure1). A large outbreak occurred in 1995 involving 43,177 reported
cases and 85 deaths (case-fatality ratio, 0.2%). During priorepidemics, the case-fatality ratio was ⭓1% among children[12]. During the first 5 years of health sector reform
(1997–2001), reported cases of measles declined by 66% from 36,968 in 1997 to 12,498 in 2001. Measles outbreaks that oc-curred annually between 1975 and 1978 now occur every 3 to4 years (figure 1). The last two outbreaks occurred in 1997 and 2000."

Ghana was not declared measles free in 1967 that is completely and utterly false. They didn't even begin vaccinating until after 1973. So again spreading false information when you could just quote an article about measles outbreaks in the US in vaccinated populations which is happening as we speak. Yet again this casts doubt on the entire list.

-Including the TB vaccine is somewhat dubious because no one claims vaccines eradicated TB in the US. Not all vaccines have worked.

-The Germany diptheria outbreak could be explained by World War 2.

-- In 1990, a UK survey involving 598 doctors revealed that over 50% of them refused to have the Hepatitis B vaccine despite belonging to the high risk group urged to be vaccinated. (British Med Jnl, 27/1/1990)

Here is the article: Attitudes of general practitioners towards their vaccination against hepatitis B.
They said they just did not get around to it, but did believe they should do it. They likely just don't think they are at risk not that they don't believe in the Hep B vaccination.

There are some good ones in the list, but because of the ones with obvious problems it casts doubt on the entire list.

Also what do you have against Dr Suzanne Humphries, have you ever seen her presentations? I am always blown away by the information and research she presents.

I have been interested in the topic, that doesn't mean I've been studying it or have my life all consumed with it. Also what does it matter to you if I'm interested in the vitamin A overload theory?
