Hi all, I've been lurking for a while and reading Peats articles, which I am very impressed with.
Have been changing my diet over 3 weeks, but would like to check if I have it somewhat right!

I weigh about 100kg (220 lb) with height of 1.85m (6 feet), male, so I wouldn't mind losing some weight (though health is focus).

So upon waking I drink a glass of OJ with a pinch of salt and sugar added
then 2 cups of coffee (french press, fresh ground beans)
then supplements (pregnenolone, glycine, b-complex, aspirin and k2, d3 depending on weather)
then a bowl of greek yoghurt, cottage cheese and milk, with a slice of lemon squeezed over and 2 tsp of honey

Oranges or other fruit if hungry before lunch

Same bowl for lunch+piece of chocolate, coffee

Dinner I try to vary each day, beef liver, beef (entrecote) with added gelatin, chicken liver (?)
All with mashed or cooked potatoes
Still looking for dinner ideas! I should add prawns but it's a somewhat seasonal item here (Norway)
Coffee, to limit iron intake

Then whatever I feel like until bed (chocolate, OJ, milk, ice cream)
I drink a glass of OJ with salt/sugar immediately before going to bed, with another round of the above supplements+magnesium, sink, calsium and d3.

This seems to work ok, I am actually rested when waking now instead of zombieing until noon, which I am very happy about!

Is there anything you would change or add to this?

Hi Jeek.

I think you may need some more sugar with the coffee.

Also are you sure you are getting enough calories?

Thanks Marikay, I'll try adding an egg for lunch. Also I found a soda made locally with minimum additives (oj, sugar and CO2) which I can drink at work.
One thing I notice with this way of eating is I get hungry (before I could easily go a day without food).

Sleep quality is a good indicator of improvement.
Your diet looks quite good. It would be good idea to check
cronometer for total caloric and nutrients intake.

Liver can inhibit thyroid function and protein are
better suited for daytime meal. You may want to
eat the liver for lunch or breakfast. Too much liver
can be problematic too. RP recommends 4-6 oz
per week for a person with average thyroid function.
Excess vitamin A can lower thyroid function.

RP recommends sweet ripe pulp free oranges.
A lot people can not tolerate average OJ.
You can experiment with removing OJ for few days
to see if it make things better or worse.
I have noticed Orange sodas causes less problem
for me than regular OJ. They remove pectin in Orange soda.

Besides orange, Milk, chocolate, potato, gelatine and B-complex
can be source of gut irritants. If these things do not cause any problem then
there is no need to change the current diet.

When you increase your metabolism you need more nutrients
especially B vitamins, alkaline minerals , carb and protein.
At lower metabolism you can get away with eating less.
