Interesting side-story from the rose corn oil trial

The trial tested if high doses of either olive oil (mean 58g/day) or corn oil (mean 64g/day) has any effect on coronary deaths. Of 50 patients, 2 patients appeared to developed diabetes shortly after starting the trial.
