I was under the impression that taurine dissolves plaque.

I've link below a video of dr peat talking about alcohol, his focus in the clip is on wine/beer. I'm not against alcohol. I think people response either favoriably or negatively to alcohol based on their particular health status, so someone with high cortisol, for instance, may react negatively to it.

@rei may be correct. Georgi has even commented on the benefits of alcohol in small quantities. I think a drink a day is probably quite healthful. I know some old Greeks that lived in their 90s and even some in their 100s and one of the common dietary ingredients is a small glass of tsipouro or ouzo. Wine is consumed of course with dinner.
