Do you use that straight up, nothing else? Makes sense--the deodorant I make has magnesium hydroxide in it, which is also the same kind in MOM. I see OTC healthier deodorants use it as well.

I used this instead of the primal paste before working a 12 hour shift and it turned out great/no smell whatsoever. I got a huge bottle for less than $4 and I'm guessing it will probably last me a year or more! Affordable and effective, I love it!!!

Awesome! I bought the Walmart brand just because it was the only unflavored one available. I didn't want to smell like cherry! I'll have to check the label for additives.

Doesn't pure, good old baking soda work for you? I mean, I have literally months, maybe a few years using just that with a bit of water...
Using oils or other stuff seems kinda messy for me and I haven't had a single incident of smelly armpits using just baking soda on water.

Thanks for pointing out the toxinless list. I've got a Kroger nearby so I can have cheap bleach free pits too.

I'd have to say that sounds like an elitist granola roller urban myth. :D

Honestly, I'd have to say all people on earth need deodorant, and if someone claims they don't, I'd say anyone else but them-self should be the judge of that. ;)

It's not the sweat that smells. It's the bacteria that colonize it that generate the odor. That's why simple alcohol is very effective: it kills the bacteria and you can sweat all day and not smell. Adding a tiny bit of essential oils just extends that killing power longer and may optionally add some light fragrance.

I make a concoction and apply it with an old roll on bottle (once it’s empty I fill it with a bit of water and squeeze while inverted to pop the roller out then fill). The concoction I use is a saturated solution of Dead Sea salt (mainly magnesium chloride I think) then add a dash of tea tree oil and a small amount of guar gum to thicken the whole mixture. The guar gum is from a bean/legume and while it isn’t exactly Peaty it’s not going to cause endotoxins in my arm pits. I use only the smallest amount of guar gum (1/2 teaspoon max) and it turns it into a big jar of gloopy liquid after applying a stick blender to it. I only use it when I’m at work, but have been using it for over two years and it works well.

I used to put sandalwood oil in instead of tea tree but it’s so expensive and I don’t mind the tea tree oil smell.
