The biggest single impact of anything I've ever taken. That sums it up.

The main attractions for me are liver and intestinal. Dramatically "normalized" bowels such that I really don't notice them anymore. Much stronger liver glycogen storage. Much. Although I felt effects from day 1, it just keeps getting better in subtle ways. I'm about 2 mos in.
Hi, wondering if you can tell me what food or supplement you were referring to in this post that brought you the mentioned liver boosting benefits? Dessicated liver? Cooked liver? Or DeFibron? I have low glycogen storage and hope to improve my liver in this regard. Thanks.

Thanks @haidut , I'm starting to think that PUFA depletion may be the right thing for me to focus on. My elevated IOP was detected but also occurred earlier than most. Following mainstream health advice by avoiding saturated fat for most of my adult life in favour of vegetable/sunflower oils/margarine etc make his scenario likely unfortunately.

How was the IOP detected? I'm curious to test mine. Thanks

It was discovered whilst I was being treated for an injury where I had scratched the cornea in my right eye but a regular eye test at most opticians will include a pressure test.

In addition, PUFA deficiency has been shown to lower IOP, so I am guessing a spoonful of MCT or other SFA may cause temporary drop in IOP by increasing SFA/PUFA ratio in bloodstream.
Wow. What a great, easy, simple, cheap DIY idea!

A quick update ...
In addition, PUFA deficiency has been shown to lower IOP, so I am guessing a spoonful of MCT or other SFA may cause temporary drop in IOP by increasing SFA/PUFA ratio in bloodstream. Maybe this is why people reported benefits from DeFibron and not so much its dopaminergic effects.
As tested by the specialist, my husband's IOP that was 24 and 25 a month ago was 14 and 15 yesterday. He's been taking MCT for a few days, with an extra teaspoon an hour before testing. He's also been taking agmatine for 16 days. And a new prostaglandin eyedrop. Plus we dropped the cyproheptadine (he's missing that for a good night's sleep though) due to contra indications according to the package insert. So, MCT could be helping. Thanks for the idea. He's going to keep taking it daily.

Took 10 drops oral. Every meal for the rest of the day made me pass out shortly after. I guess this increases FFA?

Does topical application location matter? If I was concerned about heart fibrosis (or liver), would applying DeFibron as close to the organ being treated make a difference vs. putting drops on arms?

I believe so, yes. There should be at least a short local effect before the substance goes systemic so it's definitely worth trying.

I don't think at 10 drops it increases FFA. Baseline lipolysis provides a lot more FFA than 10 drops of DeFibron would. The sleepiness could be from lower blood sugar, lower cortisol, lower serotonin, etc.

I think any issue related to inflammation would be something I would personally try it on. Oral use would likely be most warranted for fibrotic conditions of the liver, which is what most of the studies on methyl palmitate in the original thread are on. I have started using a dose of DeFibron any time I go out and have a few drinks, or have to eat crappy food loaded with PUFA.
Please, are you using it orally or topically? Thank you.

I'm a little confused (probably a lot). I thought the fibrosis issue was connected with too much serotonin.

Now, SFAs are OK too?

Gonadin anti-fibrotic as well?

SFA have known anti-fibrotic effect. That's why they have been used to prevent/reverse liver fibrosis (cirrhosis) in human alcoholics. Not sure what the mechanism of action is exactly but displacing PUFA from the liver and reducing PUFA oxidation is one suggestion. I think serotonin opposition is also involved but not many studies have look at that.

MCT oil lowers TGFbeta, so maybe other saturated fat do too and this is one mechanism.

Defibron - does it matter much if its taken orally or. transdermally? My perspective is fibrosis of the lumg?

This is very interesting product, so just to be sure, when somebody´s rat will be using this product, the rat could be eating pufas without problems? Or is there some limit? Thank you.

I would not say PUFA can ever be eaten with zero problems, but DeFibron and tocopherol can probably decrease the risk from eating PUFA.

If for hangover prevention/liver protection, that would definitely be most effective if swallowed.
Hello, I’m wondering if you would please give us an update on your defibron use, are you still not using it, or did you feel the need to resume use? Do you think there were long term benefits from temporary use?
