Follow-up: it’s 6 wks since I came down with flu/covid (I didn’t test).
I expected a few weeks to have a full recovery since it was the middle of winter.
The thing that worked the best for me has been eating a lot, & taking a small amount of cyproheptadine—.5 - 1mg—every day or 2. I took a small amount of progesterone intermittently. Small dose of Cynoplus a couple of times a week.
These kept my energy pretty low & I didn’t enjoy feeling like that. But every few days I skip doses to see how I felt without them.
After 4 weeks of doing that I am popping back to the surface feeling much better.
What I wish I had done: just set aside the time, taken the cyproheptadine & progesterone & slept as much as I wanted. Being more pro-active with using those & being fully committed to protective low-activity for a few weeks would have been good.
What I did instead: limped along being active, then spending some frustrating time having to recover from the fatigue of that. That slowed me down in the long run.
