Hi.
My mum has been diagnosed with Corticobasal degeneration.
The NHS ( England) says " there's no cure and no treatment to slow it down."
Has anyone had any experience or known anyone who has reversed or slowed the progression using diet/supplements.
Haidut's talk with Danny Roddy on dementia suggested Aspirin could be beneficial as there's a study showing salsalate " effectively reversed tau-related dysfunction in an animal model of frontotemporal dementia"
Has anyone had any success with this?
Thanks.

"Symptoms are similar to those found in Parkinson disease, such as poor coordination, akinesia (an absence of movements), rigidity (a resistance to imposed movement),disequilibrium (impaired balance); and limb dystonia (abnormal muscle postures). Other symptoms such as cognitive and visual-spatial impairments, apraxia (loss of the ability to make familiar, purposeful movements), hesitant and halting speech, myoclonus (muscular jerks), and dysphagia (difficulty swallowing) may also occur."
