Has anyone used these kind of caps for hair regrowth ?
Cooling caps are used to prevent hairloss during chemotherapy treatment for cancer patient.

Cooling Caps (Scalp Hypothermia) to Reduce Hair Loss
Scalp hypothermia is cooling the scalp with ice packs or cooling caps (cold caps) for a period of time before, during, and after each chemotherapy treatment to try to prevent or reduce hair loss. The theory behind scalp hypothermia is that the cooling tightens up or constricts blood vessels in the scalp. This constriction is thought to reduce the amount of chemo that reaches the cells of the hair follicles.

What if same principle works for androgenic alopecia? Less blood flow , less bad hormones and iron reach hair would result in restoring hair ....

I would think keeping the head warm is more important

Just keeping the head warm didn't help anyone yet to restore hair...Wearing warm hats doesn't help for sure.
Sometimes the opposite works , definitely it woked for those cancer patients who tried it. What if it launches some mechanism to grow hair to prevent head from freezing.
Probably it is not necessary to apply cooling/icing to the whole head, just onto the pacthes with receding hair
