Confused About Posture in Relation to Head Tilt

I started walking with my chin lowered, which has had some profound effects, and wonder if it's the right way to go/be, and if I've comported myself incorrectly my entire life -
but not entirely sure.
It creates a "centered feeling" where I feel more in tune with others passing by- but also, strangely causes my lower back to "arch" where my rear sticks out more.
Is this normal? My entire life I believe I've stuck my neck out in a defensive posture.

It might be a good thing. This article says that people have been taught, incorrectly, to "tuck" the pelvis for good posture.
