Compiling a list of books Peat's talked about?

Does a list like this exist? If not, could we make one? I see a lot of great stuff spread out over this forum and in other corners of the internet. I'm concerned that this invaluable information may become harder and hard to track down.

Off the top of my head, I can think of some fascinating authors that I never would have found if it weren't for Peat. I'd never heard of Ivan Illich, for instance, despite having a professor who went to his school in Mexico, and who assigned us 'similar' authors.

About which Writers, Thinkers, or Philosophers he Recommends

Me:

Hey Dr. Peat.

Which thinkers, philosophers, or writers would you recommend to someone trying to gain an appropriate grasp of ethics, morality, and worldview?
I think William Blake is helpful here, but who else would you suggest?

Ray:
Bergson, Whitehead, and Albert Schweitzer.

I remember him mentioning Grover Furr's Krushchev Lied once, I'm not sure if he was recommending it or said it was noteworthy for some reason.

For goodness sakes!
Broda Barnes.

I was also a little surprised you were the first mention of Barnes!

Bertrand Russell

I remember on one occasion in an interview with Haidut and Danny Roddy, there is an all-too brief mention of Wittgenstein and Russel. They moved on to a discussion about thiamine, but I would have loved to hear more of his thoughts on Wittgenstein, if anyone knows if he mentions it elsewhere, I'd love to hear about it. He doesn't mention any text directly, it's more a very short comment which they don't elaborate on.

He's spoken very favourably before about Barbara Seaman, a feminist activist and researcher who discussed widespread use of estrogen in some of her books.

Also Linus Pauling, Moses Gomberg, and Barbara McClintock!

I found it useful to look at the Soviet publications for an international audience from the 20th century. Some very interesting things on cybernetics and the role of intention and purposefulness until the early 70s, later on there were competing views on how far automata and control theory can be used to model human intelligence.

The titles are on the Internet Archive: User Account

Some of the interesting ones:
Markov: Cybernetics of Living Matter 1987
Markov: Cybernetics Today 1984

Both are like anthologies so include a lot of articles with many people. They come from a different tradition and their emphasis on materialism makes for an interesting read.
