A friend just took the Johnson and Johnson vaccination. She woke up in the middle of the night with her head pounding.

Can anyone think of strategies to minimize post vax damage (aside from not taking one)?

J&J and AstraZeneka are both live-virus vaccines, using genetically modified adenovirus as the "vector". So things that help with viruses will also help:

* have a high lysine:arginine ratio for a few days before the vaccine and for a week afterwards, to prevent replication
* don't drink coffee or anything with caffeine for a few days before and a week after: caffeine raises effective arginine levels, and downregulates some detox pathways. (I think morning coffee 1-2 cups is normally beneficial, just not when you have a viral infection)
* take vitamin c every 1-4 hours to bowel tolerance for a couple of days before and a week afterwards
* keep blood glucose at 83 or above, low glucose seems to allow higher viral replication rates
* take 200ug selenium (selenate or selenite or mixed) for a week before and a week after, adequate selenium helps prevent viral spread
* boswellia looks like it tightens the blood-brain barrier, to try to offset the effects of the vaccine's polysorbate 80, which weakens the bbb
