Color is an important property of a substance. The color of matter is related to its absorptivity or reflectivity. The human eye sees the complementary color to that which is absorbed, as shown in Figure 7 and Figure 8.

What about eye color then. Does it absorb the respective color? And if so, why are blue eyes and red albino eyes the most easily to excite. Just melanin, and the denser the melanin the more color is absorbed and all color form a dark mix and the lighter the melanin, the less color is absorbed? Sounds logical at first but at second thought that might mean that dark brown eyed people might see nothing
