I like an occasional sauna or red light session followed by a brief cold shower. I don't know that it's doing anything significant, but it does feel good. I prefer sleeping very warm though. I wake up much more refreshed than when I sleep cooler.

The idea that being cold all day long will trigger a higher thermogenesis is a really dumb idea. It may very well do so for a limited time but at great cost. It seems to be one of the more potent ways to stimulate serotonin synthesis in my experience. I feel my best when I spend large portions of the day sweating, provided I'm properly fueled. Another cool thing I discovered is that transdermal magnesium works extremely well when I am hot enough to sweat. It rubs right in.
