Coke and burning urination

I don't drink it often, but I did today and had terrible burning urination; why would this happen?

I wouldn't say "terrible burning,"
but I have found that both black tea
and Coca-Cola cause a little bladder irritation.
I don't notice it except when I try to sleep.
If I've had tea or Coke,
I wake up and feel a strong need to pee,
even though I may not have much urine.
Tannins?
