I think the fact that strong coffee (or big doses of caffeine) increase ammonia when consumed with protein is firmly established.

For me, avoiding protein in the first half of the day (when I’m sipping sweet coffee) isn’t practical.

Any tips on how to reduce ammonia or counteract this effect from caffeine?

In my experience, this was a liver issue.

Adding 1tsp of Ceylon Cinnamon, glycine, or gelatin helped me.

Also, taking b vitamins several times per day can help liver filter properly.

Haduit has discussed ammonia on several threads including in relation to coffee. I recall him recommending either zinc, cinnamon, or ornithine.

This fact upsets me, because if I do not drink coffee with protein, it will increase serotonin. And I can't stand coffee without sugar. It's strange that Ray didn't say anything about it.

Carbohydrates without protein allow tryptophan to pass through the BBB and increase serotonin.
I have my morning coffee with gelatin. I can't tolerate it otherwise.

Thiamine
Biotin
Salt
Cinnammon
l ornithine
Potatoes keto acids
Zinc
