Coconut Oil Irritating My Throat. Concern?

As I mentioned many times, I am a stubborn non-responder to just about any food or supplement you throw at me.

Except one: when I take a teaspoon of virgin coconut oil, my throat REALLY scratches like I’m about to get flu, or as if I just ate mineral wool. It’s instant, and only goes away after a few hours.

I can take it, if that was the only downside. My question is, can this obvious allergic reaction have other undesired consequences further down the track? Like can it cause injury or upset (albeit not felt) on a deeper level, considering the body’s manifestation of its dislike via the irritated throat.

Would that be a cue not to consume it at all?

Cheap **** refined coconut oil I use for cooking does not have this effect.

Virgin coconut oil nauseates me. Refined is the only kind that should be consumed.
