Casein Powder

I was looking at casein powder supplements, mostly out of curiosity. It was like a nightmare of ingredients. They add carrageenan, silica, all sorts of gums, high fructose corn syrup, iron, soybean oil, and who knows what else.

There is one product, Nutrabio Micellar Casein, that says it doesn't have any additives. However, among allergens it says it has milk and soy, so it probably has traces amounts of soy lecithin or something like that. The casein products with fewest additives still have lecithin.

I guess I'll stick to great lakes gelatin or milk powder for protein powders.

I buy an unflavoured micellar casein here in NZ that is completely natural and has no additives.

It's cheap, and best of all has a ton of calcium per serve!
