Capsaicin And Scalp Itch

Whenever I eat anything with pepper in it, my scalp itches uncontrollably.

Even if it's just a tiny bit of red pepper as a condiment, it sets off a severe scalp reaction of itching and prickling, and it lasts 2 minutes.

Anyone experience this? Is it histamine?

Yes it's common and normal. Reason is probably histamines..

would following up with antihistamines be a feasible way to counter this? I'd like to know because I sometimes eat spicy food and never get any negative symptoms that's noticable.
