I know beets increase nitric oxide and feel this effect with beet sugar - cane sugar is better to me but its hard to find some near me that is clean - like a white color I can't find anymore - the brown colored sugar is allergenic to me.

The best sugar I get that I don't react to is just the regular, cheap, white granulated sugar - the whiter the better

Beets are rich in nitrates, which are converted to nitric oxide.

"By the last three days of the six, nitrate concentration in the blood of those drinking beet juice was almost doubled .."

"Other vegetables that contain a lot of nitrates, including cabbage, lettuce, spinach, and celery .."

However, beet sugar is subjected to a refinement process.

Are nitrates still present in beet sugar?

Cane sugar in all forms and brands can cause inflammation because of the chemical residue left after refinement.

Ray has recommended white cane sugar as being the least allergenic. That's what I use. I do add water and heat in the microwave. This makes it taste better in my coffee.
