its a preservative, theres probably issues with the form used in drinks whereas from fruit itself probably fine. seems risky ive heard it causes inflammationisn't it supposed to increase mitochondria function by nullifying ammonia in a lot of diseases with dominance of ammonia in the brain?
thanks for the information, glycine also causes a rise in ammonia, so I think it's better to look elsewhere for reducing ammonia،other than benzene which needs glycine etcits a preservative, theres probably issues with the form used in drinks whereas from fruit itself probably fine. seems risky ive heard it causes inflammation
"The human body rapidly clears sodium benzoate by combining it with glycine to form hippuric acid which is then excreted.[23] The metabolic pathway for this begins with the conversion of benzoate by butyrate-CoA ligase into an intermediate product, benzoyl-CoA,[25] which is then metabolized by glycine N-acyltransferase into hippuric acid."
