Do you think its possible to be truely healthy - given one is eating peaty, meeting mineral requirements, getting sunlight, exercise, socialising etc - but also ejaculating everyday?

is it possible for one to regrow lost hair/ regrow ones hairline while ejaculating everyday?
i'm really not sure

so many religions/theorists make such a big deal about semen retention. is it all superstition?

i suspect semen retention benefits have to do with people who aren't getting nutritional requirements eg vegans, or perhaps people who are ill, hypothyroid etc.

i personally imagine a healthy man to be robust, good looking, resilient, no shame towards sex, no need to abstain from anything.

what are your thoughts?

imo most important thing in preventing hair low is having high SHBG and low fasting insulin. crap like no fap can give you prostatitis caused by build up of prostatic fluid in the prostate

Of course you can. Ejaculation is not even relevant as so many here would make you think, do not get caught up in this nonsense that has pervaded the entire forum at this point. It is superstition partly with lack of reason, but also POIS people who think that think semen retention will save their degenerated bodies even though it won't.

You need to work on optimizing diet, sleep, nutrient density, lifestyle, and increasing resiliency to stress. You need to build the body from the ground up. Focus on optimizing androgens. Hans has a lot of good articles on this.

Moderate exercise that is not too stressful but also gets the heart pumping is good for blood flow to the skin and hair.

I think it depends on the person, and if a person is very stressed, frequent ejaculation can certainly cause problems.

i personally imagine a healthy man to be robust, good looking, resilient, no shame towards sex, no need to abstain from anything.
On the flip side, a highly stressed person might use ejaculation as an escape from pain. The healthy man doesn't have the same drive. So abstinence has a different meaning for these 2 individuals.

In my experience, the scalp itch is strong if I ejaculate too frequently. I can't recommend nofap (hard mode) because that can also be very stressful. Find what works best for you.

I eat about 13-14 oz (raw) of unprocessed meat daily, which translates to about 9.75-10.5 oz of cooked meat. As well as 3 whole large eggs soft-boiled daily. Starches are usually white rice, sometimes potatoes. I may have bread/pasta/other wheat products from time to time (I am not too stingy on this, I like variety) and also junk foods like fast food very rarely. Soda occasionally. 1.5 cups of skim daily from coffees.

Nothing crazy this is typically what I eat and because I usually feel good and eat properly, I will eat at fast food or at restaurants whatever I feel like having rarely. I like life and all the foods I can enjoy so I dont want to be too orthorexic and dont stress about it most importantly.

Thanks, interesting.

But those foods all don’t have that much copper or am I wrong? And with the meat - wouldn’t you get too much zinc and too low copper?

Me for example - I always are meat daily, still my copper was always low.

Except potatoes, none have much copper on their own your right. You only need 1-3mg a day to maintain levels and it does provide that amount in total. If you need to increase copper levels, intake needs to be increased dramatically for a short time to build up liver stores of copper then levels can be maintained on lower amounts.

My POIS is only cognitive/allergy symptom-related, I do not change much physically if at all

I lowered mine from over 8 to 4.8 by eating a mcdougal style diet except not vegan, i ate low fat chicken/turkey breasts and chicken hearts (rich in b12 and zinc in as little as 100g), i defatted them so they were even more lean that a database like usda would indicate. fat was lower than than 20g on a daily basis, starch based, food on the lower GI end of the spectrum like red lentils (brown/green give me heart burn, but red digest perfectly), basmati rice. overall it was something like 60-70g of protein, <20g of fat and over 300g carbs from starch only. i was in a very slight caloric deficic of around 100 kcal. i ate two meals a day, breakfast at around 7-8 am and dinner at 1-3 pm and then ate nothing afterwards. i ate nothing between meals as well. i used no oils, i steamed my meat lol. i was lean and hyperinsulinemic.

Sounds like a great approach. What about your level of physical activity?
Personally I emphasize potassium and b vitamin content of the starch over its glycemic index. I'm not sure how safe it is for women and people with previous fat malabsorption probelms to drop fat very low so I keep some in the diet but I eat it with meat several hours away from my carbohydrate meals. 5-6 hours after lunch and 10 hours before breakfast. What I'm not clear on is how long that period separation needs to be, if it's at all viable to do it. It's obviously not ideal to have a fat+protein dinner meal for vegans like Mcdougal because all the whole food vegan protein sources are rich in carbs..

i actually checked my fasting insulin again today and it's 3.9.
i think the usual curve for a carb rich meal is a 3 hours insulin rise and fall and then 3 hours of stable blood sugar so 5-6 hours sounds good, but it obviously depends on your innate insulin sensitivity on how quick that process will be in your case. some people need much less than that. insulin sensitivity seems to have a major genetic component.

i also think it's benefitial to have your carbs in the daylight hours (between 6-12 am) and then more fatty meals in the later hours of the day, but you're already doing that so that's great.

if you're having insulin problems, then i'd temporarily replace lean red meat with something like white fish, because it takes a lot of time to digest beef and i've seen studies that show that digesting 500g of beef elevates insulin even for 8 hours afterwards.

im a guy. nowadays i have 2 to 3 more fatty days a week to support hormone production and for my cholesterol not to drop too low.

i was sedentary throuout the whole thing. i think it's beneficial to even go for a slow paced walk after a meal.

now to fix my sleep and we're home...

Thanks for responding in detail. I’ll need to start checking blood sugar again and test insulin to be sure where I’m at. Normally I just track the severity and location of my acne to gauge my insulin sensitivity. Yeah my staple protein at the moment is cod.
