Think I stumbled across some comments about this but can't find again...is this about magnesium/calcium?

According to Ray Peat on his interview with Gary Null on the issue of thyroid, it could be low thyroid. Thyroid helps to create ATP which in turn bonds the Mg to it so Mg is stable in the body. If you are low in thyroid then the bond of ATP with Mg is decreased and the Mg can leak into the bloodstream and be eliminated. So you get cramps, restless leg, varicose veins.
Check your thyroid
