Remark I found very interesting.
In an interview about a year ago, Ray talked about dopamine/serotonin, perception, consciousness, and LSD. He explained how coffee has a weak LSD-like effect, or something like that.

Anyway, around that time, I tried drinking 20 cups of coffee. I wonder if thats what LSD feels like. The day felt like a blur. I felt out of control, but not unsafe. Instead of deliberately thinking and choosing my way through the day, it felt like the day pulled me along. The day pulled me along instead of me navigating through it. Could this be how "luck" operates? The universe pulling you along? If so, it seems like coffee is opening energetic floodgates to, what, divine energy or something of the like.

There is significant resistance to that much coffee, though. I wanted to experience what it felt like and had to push myself. Its possible there are biological reasons: stress, depleted liver glycogen, empty stomach, low blood sugar, etc. - but what I wonder, is if this resistance is the psyche's unwillingness to lose control (an important paradox if luck exists, and if it operates through us as discussed - control is an illusion, and "letting go" to the universe is the highest way forward).

Thoughts.
