Looks like caffeine has one more trick up its sleeve.

http://www.independent.co.uk/news/scien ... 69764.html

"...They discovered that caffeine was the essential ingredient that reprogrammed the human cells back to their embryonic state but although they had tried adult skin cells, they only managed to get viable stem cell lines from skin cells derived from foetuses and infants."

I am not sure what the dosage was, but it probably does not matter since everybody reacts best to different amounts of caffeine.

On the Peat framework commonly used foods and ingredients can become almost magical.

What's striking is that in many cases those substances are already used in some pretty important biomedical processes but only hear about them peripherally. Like the study above - the article is not about caffeine (even though it probably should be) but is about how scientists finally managed to create stem cells from adult ones. A good journalist would have raised the question immediately with those scientists about what effects caffeine might have on living people.

They do something similar about coconut oil. They demonize it while selling its components as medicine.

He might get a non-answer anyway.

Watch out, they also claimed SSRI bring neurons back to a "young" state at some point.
