Ca citrate ups aluminium absorption, what about Mg citrate?

Its standard practice not to prescribe calcium citrate with aluminium hydroxide antacids because Ca citrate enhance absorption of aluminium tremendously. Also other heavy metals too, very weird, like lead.

Would magnesium citrate also do that, I havent seen any studies on it?

Could it not just be that the calcium is enhancing excretion rather than increasing absorption? Especially since plasma levels were unchanged.

I remember reading some time ago that potassium enhanced mercury excretion and I wonder if the calcium is doing a similar job for aluminium.

RP mentioned that citric acid/citrate increases calcium excretion through
kidney. This is the reason he thinks calcium citrate should not be considered
as the best calcium supplement. I am not sure but I believe he also
mentioned citric acid has the same effect on magnesium loss through kidney.
I read some where that acidic food increases absorption of certain heavy metals
in intestine by dissolving those metals. Ascorbic acid and other acids
increase Iron absorption in intestine.
