I was going to donate blood for the first time in 25 yers and a colleague mentioned this blood panel as a way to keep track of iron overload, etc. Still working on my understanding based on Morley Robbin's work so this thread is a start using my blood work.

I donated it yesterday and feel great afterward. Ate like a champ and noticed a slight decrease in stress. Slept well and feel strong as ever today.

CERULOPASM 23 18-36 mg/dL
% SATURATION 49 20-48%
FERRETIN 210 38-380 mcg/dL
IRON BINDIN CAPACITY 295 250-425 mcg/dL
IRON TOTAL 146 50-180 mcg/dL
TRANSFERRIN 222 188-341 mg/dL
HEMOGLOBIN 16.7 13.2-17.1 g/dL
VITAMIN A (retinol) 54 38-98 mcg
VITAMIN D, 25-OH 58 30-100 ng/mL
COPPER 100 70-175 mcg/dL
MAGNESIUM, RBC 5.3 40-6.4 mg/dL
ZINC 122 60-130 mcg/dL

Isnt the ferritin way too high? I have to test mg thyroid levels constantly and isnt this concept same as blood donation?

Yes! It's not a dangerous level, as people often have it in the high hundreds and even thousands. The analogy is that Ferritin is like empty "shotgun shells" as it somehow indicates the iron in the tissues I believe. I think around 20 is ideal from what I read.

Peat told me my saturation % is high, which should be in the range of of 20-30%.

The other thing is Ceruloplasm should multiple by around 3.3 to equal total copper.

I had planned on starting blood donations once my system got more robust from doing the fundamentals that we all tend to agree on here for at least 2-3 years. COVID derailed that plan so I'm starting it now.

Not sure if blood testing is enough to equate blood donations. However, I'm on a self experiment here so I decided on the donations.

Just did my 2nd donation today. Feel amazing again from it.

I don't know if it's the iron dumping that's helping, but the last donation definitely left a lingering "relaxation" in the sense that my system doesn't get as "stressed" as prior to the donation.

Sleep has improved a bit as well, which was already good.
