Bio-Identical Progesterone From Soy?

I was looking at some of the other progesterone products on iherb, good brands, and they say "bio-identical progesterone" or "natural progesterone USP from soy" "USP progesterone". Or sometime wild yam is mentioned as a source.

I was wondering if natural progesterone from soy is OK to use?

Does the progesterone in Progest-E come from soy too, or wild yam, or what?

thank you!

All bioidentical progesterone has to be made in a lab. I believe the process starts with a raw plant material from wild yam or soy that is chemically changed to be identical to human progesterone. The end product should be virtually free of any soy protein. I'm 100% sure a scientist could explain this better than me. Timothy Long discusses this briefly on his website www.longnaturalhealth.com if you search his site for information on Progest-e. I think if I were purchasing progesterone I'd choose progesterone USP. If it is wild yam or soy that hadn't been altered chemically in the lab it is at best ineffective and possibly harmful.
