Barbados ditches Britain's Queen Elizabeth to become a republic

Barbados ditched Britain's Queen Elizabeth as head of state, forging a new republic on Tuesday with its first-ever president and severing its last remaining colonial bonds nearly 400 years after the first English ships arrived at the Caribbean island.

I found it interesting and I wonder if others will do the same.
There were claims by some that UK left the EU among many other reasons due to too much pressure from Germany to stop supporting various tax havens they protect.
Considering it shown as civil victory for the UK people but strongly funded, one can wonder how civil was it.
Whether this has any base or not who knows, but German state had some covert action in Switzerland for some of it's citizens apparently. Considering that publicly there were only a couple of examples if I recall, who know how many other people using tax havens never weren't followed directly.

There is also the case of Ireland where all the big corporations in the world had their base in Europe which was under pressure mainly from Germany and France to increases taxes for these corporations.
This can be easily looked up as recent news.
