Standardized Scalp Massage Results in Increased Hair Thickness by Inducing Stretching Forces to Dermal Papilla Cells in the Subcutaneous Tissue

In this study, participants were not balding, but it demonstrates how mechanical stress can increase blood flow and increased thickness

>Stretching forces result in changes in gene expression in human dermal papilla cells. Standardized scalp massage is a way to transmit mechanical stress to human dermal papilla cells in subcutaneous tissue. Hair thickness was shown to increase with standardized scalp massage.

Device that they used in the study: https://www.amazon.com/Panasonic-scalp-cleaning-Silver-EH-HM75-S/dp/B00BSJBNSK

further citations:
High DHT/Libido these guys have abnormaly high dht yet they have sex drive libido issues lol ım far ahead of my time here :D
Very high DHT, no sex drive
you and ı telling the same thing finasteride arimidex corrected androgen estrogen dht ratios gave them 3-10 fold increase in testosterone and testicular volume but this is appliable for people with high dht (me lots of body hair) highish estrogen low testosterone route for young male hormonal profile less acne more muscle mass less hairloss.

I had at one time over 250 DHT, the lab made a remark that they can't measure more that is why they say over 250.
But yes, pretty much no erections and no libido, it was the first time when I started to lose my night wood and morning wood, I had anxiety and increase heart rate, and hair was shedding and falling like from everywhere even
from the back of my neck, after that MPB advanced a bit and hair follicles reduced (hair density is lower) and all hair left became obviously thinner, not very thick like before.
Not only that but I started to lose the ability to get erections from just watching porn, not sure what it matters, but happened at the same time.
And I must mention prolactine was very low in the mornings even with massive stress and anxiety, cortisol was probably high, I don't know, at this point free testosterone was weak at 20 only so that must be taken into consideration high DHT and low Free Testosterone, but well my free testosterone is way lower now even if my DHT is around 60 now.

I thought about the relationship between posture and hair loss.

I personally started losing hair as soon as I started developing a massive forward head posture, which probably limited my blood flow to my brain/hair.

I am working on my diet and posture now very degelently, we will see how things go in the next few months..

Great post on trichotoxin. I am of the opinion these days that hair loss is do to something of this nature...coupled with lack of circulation/ both lymphatic and blood... I think too much dht/calcification is just a downstream event which prevents hair from growing properly.

My hunch now (and it will probably lead to no results) is that rebounding, scalp brushing and liver /lymph cleansing are three very important elements for resolving this issue. I can bounce on a trampoline and feel blood moving to parts of my head that I can’t achieve with any other topical or mechanical device. Running doesn’t achieve the same feeling. Nutrients circulating through the blood...At the same time, my lymph is circulating, moving out that trichotoxin and other metabolic waste. I think it all adds up in the same category——waste.

It sounds simple but I think we over complicate things with endless studies and supplements.... Lastly, I’ve been applying d limonene to area of my temples that have receded hair. If the pores are clogged up, I think limonene is a useful surface cleanser (if it works on a bath tub, it will work on my scalp).

My thoughts atleast

At least according to this guy who just made this post on 4chan.org/fit/:

-----------------------------------------------

BALDNESS IS CAUSED BY POOR POSTURE. THAT'S WHY POOR F#CKS IN AFRICA DON'T GO BALD.

A doctor at Detroit College of Medicine figured this out in late 1800s-early 1900s. He identified a toxin he named "trichotoxin" which was released by fermented unexhaled air. People who sit down a lot with their necks forward usually take short breaths with their diaphraghm and don't use their whole lungs. As a result, only the bottom lobules get filled and they don't get completely emptied. The doctor cultured some exhaled air from human subjects and injected several different animals with it. Many of these animals went bald. He coached his patients to use proper posture and breathe into their upper chest as well as lower chest.

I had to pastebin this because sci-hub won't bring it up depending on what day it is.

Common Baldness: Its Cause and Treatment -Delos Parker, 1907 - Pastebin.com

----------------------------------------

I'm still reading the article to which he linked. Maybe there's something to it. I do sit down a lot with my neck forward.

Really cool to see this here guys. I can't prove it, but I'm actually the original poster of this thing (excuse the language, I was going through an edgy phase) and I found out about RP by googling this text. Been eating a lot more oranges lately and it feels nice, hope I start dropping weight soon.

I originally found the study in a book called Baldness: A Social History. As for athletes going bald, most athletes mouthbreathe and have garbage posture.

It's hard to think of someone with the left guy's posture who doesn't have at least a receding hairline.

Well that explains why as you get older you start to recede. Well that’s because your posture gets worse and your hormonal profile. Multiple avenues hitting hard.

Interestingly enough Jeff said that famous bodybuilder who’s dad happens to be significantly balding yet his son Jeff doesn’t bald at all. It makes me wonder what about his body besides his muscle is hat contributes to continues hair growth. Or when you hear about someone develop baldness even tho no one in the family has any baldness.

Alright, so I have posted in other threads that I am making progress in scalp texture. It has generally gotten much looser.
Today this happened: I fell asleep in a chair in a shitty position that accentuated my APT.
Woke up and my scalp was tight as hell, hasn’t been like this in weeks. Especially in my temples. Took me 10 mins of massaging to relax it.
I already suspected this link before but now I am very sure it’s related
Gonna throw all my gym time now at just fixing posture

My posture needs work. I have slouching shoulders (instead of upright and pinned back), which I believe is from years of corporate life and lacking symmetry from working out. When I'm standing, the majority of the time I'm putting a lot more pressure on my right leg and guess what - my right temple thinned out a lot worse than my left.

I just wanted to mention, don't overlook massaging your occipitalis muscle as you fix your posture issues. As you know I have been sleeping on the floor, and doing a lot of work on fixing posture, but I believe some of the slack must have got taken up by my occipitalis muscle. I had been noticing a weird tension in my neck, like a spot where it would freeze, it felt like it was around my traps area so I had been massaging that area, but I was just in the shower and felt a pressure point in my occipitalis muscle so I started massaging it for 10 mins and the difference is night and day. My whole neck and shoulder tension feels relieved

l They look like the first guy in terms of posture . Actually there are several ways this could lead to baldness and probably even more that I havent considered / heard of.
One could be lowered blood flow to the scalp/ brain due to bad posture , Arteria vertebralis could be an example since it literally goes thorugh a hole in our vertebrae and can be pinched through certain movements.
Another thing that exists is stimulation of a certain brain nerve through bone alignment / changes. I know that with babies ,when their skull base grows or adjusts it can have an influence on brain nerves 10 ,11 and 12. 10 beeing vagus or main parasympathetic nerve. Lowering of vagal activity could lead to stress and gut problems. Lots of babies have bloating. Just as an example , but I think through a similar pattern too much Sympaticus actitvity could be stimulated, which might lead to baldness.
Also there are things that can inhibit your relaxed stomach breathing. I have a patient that is not able to breath through in her stomach /which means diaphragm is not used meaning less efficient breathing possibly less CO2 and definitely less ventilation of the lungs. She only uses the respiratory muscles apart from the diaphragm , like the Trapezius p.d. and scaleni muscles that I mentioned in my first post. Those could lead to a higher first rib, also observed by balding people as I said.
It might take me some years to connect all the dots but , there is sth to this hole thing , I think.

Woah i have a higher first rib.

i am starting to beleive this isnt entirely the cause but a significant contributing factor. When ever i i stretch our my rolled in shoulders. I feel blood shooting into my hands.

Also theres a study that showed carotid artery suffered from plaque build up from long hours of standing. This shows that posture affects vasculature for sure and helps tie the correlation of arteriosclerosis

What did you do for the regrow that?
I may have been losing hair at 20 due to krill oil consumption and general fat metabolism.

The things that helped most with regrowth were zinc+b6, K2 (both MK4 and 7), and keeping blood sugar up.

there have been accounts by me and at least 2 other people Here of weird isolated instances of complete relexation, after yoga, crying or whatever.
This happened to me twice. Blood shooting everywhere, super sensitive body hair, warmness. Vould literally feel the energy throughout my whole body.
Weird stuff. Guess we are normalizing some amount of tension.
Working out is a big part of that in my case.

the other week I was rolling hard on recreational drugs for 3 days in a row. When I would wake up, my hands and head were literally glowing.
Despite undereating by A LOT

"When neck muscles are in continuous tension, their action propagates to the head, stretching and tightening the galea against the underlying layers of the scalp. The underlying structure is rich of blood vessels that are compressed, blocking blood flow towards the hair follicles.

Since the muscle tension that tight the galea is always present, the inflammation is long-term and chronic, causing fibrosis and calcification. This further decreases the blood flow into the scalp.

Craniofacial development plays an important role in hair loss: indeed it is the real underlying cause that gives predisposition to baldness. Predisposition means that it is possible to see people with a poor craniofacial development and no signs of hair loss, but it is not possible to see bald people with a good craniofacial development. If spotting a bald person, you will be 100% sure that he has jaw problems to some extent."

"Hair follicles on top of the scalp are affected by androgenetic alopecia, while those on the sides are not.

Androgenetic model: hair follicles on top of the head show increased expression of the androgen receptor gene. However, DHT stimulates the production of pigmented terminal hair in many other areas after puberty and higher levels of androgen receptors are also found in these follicles which remain healthy, e.g. like in those in men’s beard. So, this is a paradox and thus the androgenetic model does not offer a clear explanation.

New model: neck muscular tension propagates through the myofascia to the galea, which tightens and compresses blood vessels going to the hair follicles. Instead on the sides of the head, the underlying tissue is made of muscles so it is softer and richer of blood vessels. Thus, a compression in those areas does not block blood reaching the follicles.

The scalp of bald men show higher formation of 5α-reduced metabolites and 17-ketosteroid metabolites.

Androgenetic model: although DHT is considered playing the main role in baldness, this model does not give any explanation of why DHT and other metabolities should be present in higher concentration in bald scalps. So, no explanation.

New model: when blood vessels are compressed, blood cannot reach hair follicles causing reduced availability of nutrients and inadequate removal of metabolites, damaging tissues. Then, an inflammatory response is activated and DHT is an important regulator of its activity.

Subcutaneous blood flow in the scalp of patients with early male pattern baldness is much lower.

Androgenetic model: no explanation.

New model: galea compresses blood vessels, blocking blood flow.

Miniaturization of hair follicles has been associated with deposits of densely packed collagen bundles in the follicular dermal sheath, called perifollicular fibrosis.

Androgenetic model: no explanation.

New model: when the inflammation is long-term and chronic, it causes fibrosis and calcification."

Thats interesting . Also often high thinking people e.g. people that are head strong , intelligent and think a lot are balding . --> Scientists
Yes!
And they tend to have a sedentary lifestyle.
However, they should still have a relatively high metabolic rate whith their 'intelligence' as a consequence of this high metabolic rate.
The problem might as well be overthinking, which academically intelligent oeople tend to do.

Artists on the other side, while tend to beeing equally intelligent, often seem to have great hair --》 Kurt Cobain for example. This might be because artists tend to express their emotions through their more free and creative work/way of thinking. In contrast, scientists more often are trained towards the formally more rigid, logic-oriented type of thinking and therefore processing their emotions.

Sorry for my bad English, I hope you can understand me ;)
