The researchers, led by Dr. Cristina Bosetti (Ph.D.), head of the Unit of Cancer Epidemiology at the Mario Negri Department of Oncology, Milan (Italy), found that regular use of aspirin, defined as taking at least one or two tablets a week, was associated with a significant reduction in the risk of developing all these cancers, apart from head and neck cancer.

Aspirin is far more effective than the much-promoted colonoscopies in preventing CR cancer. Frequent aspirin users are 30% as likely to get colorectal cancer than non aspirin users. It does seem dose dependent and best with a full 325mg tablet taken per day.

Colonoscopies supposedly that cut precancerous polyps only reduce the chances of CR cancer modestly if at all.

Thanks for the article.
