WATCH: Daniel Shaver Police Shooting Video Released

Can you believe that a jury voted to acquit this cop? There is something deeply rotten about American society.

yes

the judge kept facts from the jury, chiefly the fact that the officer who pulled the trigger had inscribed "you're ****88" on his automatic rifle, because he thought it would influence the jury's decision...

it's in the interest of the law to protect their own. a police officer is expected to perjure himself if and when it is in the state's interest, and it's in the states interest to send as little police officers to prison as humanly possible to keep recruitment numbers high

in the past two years nearly 3000 people have been killed by police officers in the united states, but in the past TWELVE years, only 80 policemen have been charged with murder?

the united states legal system has nothing to do with justice. it's run by wall street, literally.

people endorse a system of control they don't even understand and then act with surprise and outrage after that very system they support just does what it was intended to do. make more money for the people who own the prisons. it's hard to make money from prison if you start filling them with your own worker bees

The body cam footage should have been enough to convict the cop. How did they manage to find a bunch of people who didn't think that even a 3.75 year sentence was appropriate?

And why are the people of Arizona not protesting in the streets? Why haven't the two cops involved already assasinated by some outraged person?

my one small quibble is that the goal of the "system" is not to make more money. TPTB already have all the money they could ever need and could easily steal more if desired. Money is rather used as a tool, to direct everyone's actions to achieve the desired end goal of the system, which is power and control. The power to control the thoughts, desires and most importantly actions of every person on Earth in a unified direction set by an unaccountable oligarchy. It's no accident that the beehive is one of the most important symbols in masonry. We are to be the drones.

all the body cam footage showed was a rifle pointed at a scared drunk in a corridor.

the man screaming "CROSS YOUR LEGS! HANDS ABOVE YOUR HEAD! NOW CRAWL! PUT YOUR HANDS BACK UP! IF YOU DO THAT AGAIN WE WILL KILL YOU!" wasn't the man who pulled the trigger. he was the man giving orders.

so who was really at fault? the kid that pulled the trigger, his boss who told him to do it, or the guy who got shot, for pointing a rifle out of a hotel window in the most trigger happy country on the planet?

and people won't do anything because like the policeman who pulled the trigger, they are almost unanimously obedient and don't break the law because they think it exists to protect people rather than the system that pays for it

not just capitalism but yes

what other systems does it provide for?

money is such a ridiculous concept that it's literally worthless if someone gives it to you in the wrong country, even if that country is based on the same economic principles which endorse the concept to begin with.

Money is used in just about every modern economic system invented to date, including communism and socialism.

Rather than ridiculous, I think money is one of the most important inventions ever, that has allowed for the rapid improvement in civilization and the lives of many. I know that seems crazy given all the evils we associate with money, but without it we are back to the inefficiency of bartering, and the division of labor and its many benefits goes right out the window.
It's the love of money that is the root of all evil not money itself

For those interested, Carolla does a podcast with Mark Geragos, who is currently bringing a civil suit against one if the officers:

This was a thin-blue-line situation where cops were protecting their own. This is as dirty as it gets in terms of police corruption.

i didn't say other systems don't use money, i'm saying capitalism is based on the principle that "if i have more money than everyone else, i win" and thus every facet of a society functioning within this paradigm must submit to this or be discarded, because the people endorse the system and are already invested in the game

thus money and power in a capitalist society are entirely interchangeable. if you have money, you can circumvent a system that would otherwise turn you into a faceless statistic, or shoot you if you don't do as you're told. and everyone else will rationalise this as either a) you're a criminal and thus deserve it or b) it was that one police man's fault. he should be sent to prison etc.

option c) accepting that we endorse the system that puts trigger happy idiots with less training than a hair dresser on the street with weapons and the incentive to make sure we do what we are told, is rarely if ever chosen, and if it is, we call those who choose it, crazy:P

Whenever money is used in any system, the people with more of it are clearly better off i.e. they win. That's why I am saying it is not just capitalism.

That is not exactly true. The power and control I am talking about is the ability to control the behavior of your fellow citizens. That is why I originally made the distinction between money and power. Money doesn't automatically give you the power to dictate how someone should live their lives. As you mentioned people with enough money can avoid the system altogether and do what they want. Having money in this situation doesnt allow me to control them.

This is why we are seeing the destruction of the middle class, because they are too hard to control. The poor can be controlled simply by threatening to take away their benefits and leaving them homeless. While the rich are controlled by threatening to take away their money. This wouldnt work with the middle class because there are far too many of them. Taking away their money would spark a revolution. If you look at most dictatorships, they are made up of a small elite who do the bidding of the government and the rest of the people are impoverished.

What money does do is direct the behavior of men to build the type of control system that we see growing everyday. As just one example, Facebook and Google don't control us because they are billion dollar companies. They control us through social engineering and implanting ideas in our heads that we then act on.

As many commented, how can one ask to cross your legs, keep your arms up in the air then to crawl up in a given direction?

How's that even humanly possible?

Why not just ask him how much is 26 multiplied by 77, and if the answer's wrong, we're going to shoot.
