ApoE4: This is your brain on ApoE4
Seems like the apolipoprotein e4 allele is associated with certain types of high cognition in adolescence. I suspect that I may be a carrier, as I had an almost unearthly ability to learn and recall things when I was a teenager, which quickly descended into complete brain fog by the age of 21 or so.
I know a few other people who were like this or claim to have been like this in their teens, who claim to have brain fog now. All these people now look like the picture of bad health (balding, chubby, etc), despite being in their early 20s.
