Anyone Notice Most Young People With Severe COVID Cases Are Endurance Athletes?

Maybe it's just coincidence but every young person (20's -40's) I see a news story on that has had a rough bout with COVID-19 (coronavirus) seems to be some sort of endurance athlete. Marathon runners, crossfit athletes, skiers, exercise enthusiasts in general, etc. Again, it could just be coincidence, but couldn't it also be that their systems are so stressed and this puts them in a compromised state similar to someone who is elderly or has underlying health conditions?

Or maybe media is reporting cases of young people which are 'healthy and fit'. As opposed to an obese 20something or a 17 year old with an autoimmune condition.

The one high profile "young and fit" case I saw, Van der Burgh was a former competitive swimmer, swimming is well known to cause airway dysfunction.

Moderately active people are likely to be protected whereas people who do extreme amounts of exercise will be at risk, similar to the general U-shaped association between exercise and mortality. In regions like Scandinavia, Germany and Austria, people have high levels of physical activity, and they have low incidence of severe disease.

Yes, that could be. To increase the fear mongering they focus on "healthy fit people".
