Magnesium citrate in high doses (1000-2000mg) for a while will remove calcium from your scalp, allowing circulation again. Do this along with putting your head in a bowl full of apple cider vinegar and sleeping with it still in your hair. Flowers of sulfur taken internally can also decalcify.

Cardio (20-25 mins every day) followed by muscle training (especially squats), this will raise your IGFBP3 (low in male pattern hairloss and prostate cancer) and testosterone. Testosterone is your friend, people with low test and/or very high estrogen lose hair. Never push yourself through cardio or training when it's suffering, progressively increase intensity and loads through time but always do your training in a manner that doesn't leave you stressed and out of energy after. Don't overlook this one, it will greatly help.

Taurine (sometimes 1000mg, generally 200mg every meal), vitamin E (without soy or flax, never take any supps containing those contrarily to what "pisser" wrote earlier, very estrogenic). Vitamin A (raises IGFBP3), very important. Vitamin K2. Magnesium, you can switch to a safer type for bones after, like Magnesium gluconate. Selenium (also raises IGFBP3) but just eat broccolis often, they also block estrogen. No need to supplement progesterone ever, it has a feminizing effect and you don't need to be a castrate to retain your hair. Chill on the caffeine, doesn't help with hair (at least taken internally) and can only hinder if it stresses you. Vitamin B6 p5p (50mg a day), also raises IGFBP3. Type "pubmed igfbp3" + all the things I mention, you'll find results on google. Saturated fats (coconut oil) + no unsaturated fats. Saturated increases tumor-suppressor p53, which activates IGFBP3, unsaturated fats do the opposite. Biotin 500mcg a day. Blood giving, iron decreases igfbp3.

Bicarbonate sodium taken 45 minutes after every meal, will kill off bacteria and raise your Co2 stores. Again CO2 increases IGFBP3 and controls mast cells, which activate calcium signaling. Excess of calcium signaling is the major player in hair loss, that is why magnesium in high doses is very efficicent but also everything that calms and keep calcium in cells. Estrogen and histamine excite cells to trigger calcium signaling. Also, I'd drop the raw carrot, was a waste of time for me and some studies even show it increasing bacterias proved by hydrogen breath test.

Elephanto, what is the state of your hairloss after employing this regimen?

Has stopped regressing for years (3+), my hair is also super thick. My hairline hasn't completely recovered but around NW1, the thing is I was so satisfied with my results and overall physical appearance that I didn't bother continuing with regular apple cider soaking and high dose magnesium citrate, maybe that would do it. I also ordered some polysorbate 80 from reading this recent thread on here, it could be an easy way to remove maybe the last bits of hardened sebum blocking circulation from my hairline at the temples.

The thing with Roddy, you can see by his appearance, shadows under his eyes and low energy vibe that it results from the anti-androgenic and opioid effects of very high milk intake. There's two ways of having incredible hair. You can be a nu-male looking like a castrate (I see these people eating at Mcdonalds, even omega 6s and soy won't ruin their hair), or like the super athlete jacked on steroids yet his hairline is still perfect. Well, life isn't all about hair and I'd rather have the physical and mental energy of the athlete (I don't take roids, I just use this image as something to more-or-less push toward). So everything I do, take and avoid is based on high test, low estrogen, high dopamine, low serotonin and the restriction of systemic excitement.

Thanks for the supplement recommendations and explanations. I agree with your observation of Roddy's appearance, since you attribute it do the milk do you avoid dairy?

Just wondering, besides low-PUFA, what diet guidelines do you follow?

I don't totally avoid it, I'll be using casein hydrolysate as I've found a study showing it would be an ideal protein source (after failed experimentations with quark cheese leading me to these discoveries). Other dairies are occasional treats.

My diet is very much based on the knowledge brought up by Peat, but not his actual diet. I've been thinking about doing a big glossary of foods that have undesirable attributes with corroborating studies, and there are many that are found on "Peat's diet" (foods he suggested). Take organ meat and seafood, high in metalloestrogens. He suggests mushrooms; I'd suggest the avoidance of any fungus, per all his endotoxin articles. Oranges are high in serotonin. This is where people fail around here, they say "Peat is always right!!" when the actual mantra is "Perceive, think, act". Even himself is pretty liberal about it, he once said that a strictly fruitarian diet is very good, although a bit lacking in protein; yet it's so far from what people consider the Peat diet. If you perceive something has a negative effect on you, isolate it, find why and change it.

I don't eat a lot of variety because I avoid many things. I eat : Pineapples, cooked apples (removes quercetin), steamed green peas, steamed broccolis and cauliflowers. Coconut Oil and salt on my veggies, greatest antiseptic. Sometimes white rice + coconut oil when I run out of fruits. Maple syrup. Ceylon cinnamon. Lemon juice in my carbonated source water and on top of veggies sometimes. That's pretty much the extent of it.

I stopped eating meat, not running into any issue but I do supplement with vegan bcaa (less allergenic than actual bcaa), taurine and sometimes greek yogurt. Green peas are high in protein and easy to digest. Anyway it's not very scientific but Indian knowledge tells that eating dead animals doesn't give vitality whereas veggies and fruits do (except a lot of them are estrogenic), I feel like it's true. I was doing pretty good eating meat but I'm doing better now.

@sladerunner69 Haha, I had the exact same problem and thought of the same solution, the porn blocker. I had to learn how to blacklist certain domains manually, by editing a few files in my "WINDOWS" folder and making certain files uneditable and password-protected, and that helped until I reformatted my computer and reverted everything. I basically did nofap for a year and a half and it definitely helped, but didn't completely stop any hairloss and when I returned to masturbating, I realized how harsh I was being to my own body in the past. As a result, though, I could last two weeks without touching myself. If you wish to pursue this, and have worries about failing, just know it gets easier and your desire for sex reduces to a normal level, which is very freeing cause you're not as much of a slave to your own urges.

There's a flucuation in hormones in the body after orgasm and ejaculation. Ejaculation makes you lose zinc, which can help keep your testosterone to estrogen ratio at a normal level.

@helpmyhair In my experience, stomach problems have less to do with k2 and more to do with aspirin. You could lower your dose and eventually build your tolerance.

How does this work exactly?

Yeah it really is going to come down to a self-disciplinary thing. I am just going to have to tough a solid month of nofap and hopefully go from there. I heard masturbating once monthly is ideal.

I don't want to be losing zinc, this could explain why I have been having issues with correct dosages of zinc and copper which is important over in the pfs thread.

Do you think spanking the ol' monkey noodle 3-4 times day would lose about 50mg zinc?

@Elephanto , how do you get your zinc? Cronometer shows only 8.2 g of protein per 160 g boiled peas (though the amino acid profile looks good)

They have a high protein/calories ratio for veggies is what I meant, and I eat a lot of them. I get zinc from green peas and broccolis. Let's see, 160g of boiled green peas (which retain less vitamins/minerals than steamed, as I do them) already have 2mg of zinc. The requirements are blown out of proportion, we don't need 10:1 zinc/copper but more like 2-3:1 and we need about 1-2 mg of copper. So it's very easy to get 6mg of zinc and that's plenty enough when you have already supplemented with high zinc in the past. I also don't fap and judge my zinc status by my nails. I'm really bordering on zinc excess in fact, and I have to supplement copper as I won't eat nuts. I could get it from turnip greens though, they seem okay. It's complex, there's also the fact that I'm avoiding stuff like cadmium, a zinc antagonist, which vegans diet, according to a sizeable, year-long study, vastly decreased the concentrations of (as well as nickel) compared to a regular meat diet. That means meat-eating probably raises the requirements of zinc.

What I like is that I always have this stack of supplements I can rely on and go by perception, and I don't need to eat unoptimal food (which may have been great in the past, not so much in our polluted and poisoned actual world) to get them. Like vitamin A, I could eat betacarotene rich food but they aren't optimal so I'd rather supplement. I find that much of health is more about what you avoid, rather than trying to attain every official nutrient requirements. I'm like an abstract painter and my supps are the colors on my palette. I don't use everything everyday, I just pop stuff randomly, on random days, in reasonable amounts and the magic operates.

A last post regarding protein requirements specifically in regards to hair loss. So the main benefits of high protein intake in regards to this are the sulphur-containing amino acids. Sulphur decalcifies and lack of sulphur leads to calcification. Taurine is one of them, so you don't need to worry about protein intake when you supplement taurine. Its main benefit is fixing low/deficient sulphur stores, and I don't recommend higher doses than 1 gram (e.g. those that raise CAMP like caffeine does, posted by haidut). Another valuable aspect of high protein intake is that it increases glutathione precursors, and so glutathione. Both of those work in helping the liver detoxifies estrogen.

Broccoli and other cruciferous vegetables take care of both, they contain sulphur and they contain actual glutathione. You'll also need B1 and B2 for the liver to detoxify estrogen. I got all my results before taking those two B vitamins though.

Fermented soy like miso or natto is fine. The followers of traditional Japanese diet consume a lot and baldness was rare there until western diets became more common. Unfermented soy, to paraphrase Clevelan Brown.."theres nothing good about who you are and what you do..".

@Elephanto I already have magnesium citrate and apple cider vinegar, but I haven't been using them (is this a sign?). Perhaps changing my stack is worthwhile. I'll remove the soy isoflavins, replace it with a high dose of magnesium, and report in a few weeks. Thanks for sharing your wisdom, it's been pretty compelling.

If you're worried about zinc, taking control of yourself is actually a good start since it doesn't require anything but your mind, which is really cool. As pretencious as it sounds, I learned a lot about myself and my respect for women grew a lot. When you think "screw it, I'm feeling weak, I'll just do it tonight and start over tomorrow" or "masturbation is natural", pay attention to the series of events that lead to those thoughts. It's seriously hard to be 100% concious of your concious and subconcious thoughts, but the more you practice, the easier it is to delineate the difference between truth and lies.

Anyway, here's something you may find alluring. Relationship between seminal plasma zinc and semen quality in a subfertile population

@Elephanto Thanks for all the info..have some questions:

Do you still experience scalp inflammation? What about shedding? How much do you currently shed about when you rub your hair over the sink?

I have a very sensitive stomach (which seems to be a big source of my hairloss), will Magnesium Citrate irritate my stomach? Should I take MSM (organic sulfer) in high doses instead?

As for zinc, will this make my grey hair worse? I am only 31 and have a load of grey hair, so I'm a bit worried about making it worse.

Do you take all your supplements orally? All with food?

How come you don't eat eggs?

How much vitamin E and A do you take?

Bicarbonate sodium.. this is baking soda right? How do you take it? in water? taste bad? I take a probiotic daily which I need or else I get stomach aches often. Will the bicarbonate sodium be bad with the probiotic?

I've always had high-histamine (allergies).. I take an anti-histamine daily which helps alot with itchy skin and sometimes scalp. Other ways to keep histamine at bay?

What what its worth, a raw carrot does make my stomach feel better when its aching.

I'm allergic to pineapple and apples. What other fruits do you suggest? Been eat grapes and watermelon.. and of course OJ though what you are saying about oranges is a bit concerning.

Why don't you get eggs?

No aspirin?

Your diet seems so little.. I'm already a bit skinny.. i feel like i would be deeply underweight just eating fruit/veggies and a bit of rice.

I was under the impression that most, if not all of the anti-androgenic substance(s) are in its fat/cholesterol content; does the same apply to fat free milk?

Also masturbation increases prolacitn and causes hairloss. Anyone ahve any ideas on how one can stop masturbating?

I used to be addicted to porn. When i felt the urge, Vitamin C provided temporarily relieve from it. I realized it was most likely emotional issues so i started meditating. Over time, the urges have disappeared for the most part, even while continuing to watch porn once in a while (mostly to clean the pipes and keeping the penis in shape). Occasionally i still think about the porn films and have a small urge to watch them, but they are much easier to control and put down.

Your diet seems so little.. I'm already a bit skinny.. i feel like i would be deeply underweight just eating fruit/veggies and a bit of rice.

No scalp inflammation. This "inflammation" may just be the feeling of blood constricted at certain areas, which go away with decalcification. Sometimes if I go on a phase of not caring about food, like eating bread, yogurt, cheese and food that increase gut bacteria, then yeah I might shed more than usual. I think the more worrisome hairs to shed are the very little ones, because I let my hair grow anyway so it's normal to lose long hairs. Then I'll just do a phase more focused on antiseptics and starch avoidance.

I don't know if Mag Citrate will irritate your stomach, never induced real pains for me but it's something you should do away from meals, before going to sleep for instance. Peat is cautious about MSM and suggests flowers of sulphur instead. It seems like a complex chemical and an unatural one too, so IDK. That said, there are testimonies of guys using specifically MSM and regrew hair. I think they would have had the same results with Taurine, also related to sulphur.

Eggs, they're simply high in tryptophan, make me feel bad. Not really related to hair loss, you could still eat them.

Vitamin E, I take this brand CocoCare, which is just vitamin E in coconut oil and there's no way to know how much I take but it's like 28 000 iU for a small bottle. I put just a little bit at the tip of a spoon and lick it. Vitamin A, pure Retinyl Palmitate powder, 5000 iu every day.

Zinc excess leading to copper depletion can induce grey hair temporarily but the real cause for most is tryptophan excess. Taking BCAA + Tyrosine, avoiding tryptophan-rich food will help more in that. You should have a copper supplement anyway when you resplenish zinc as you will need it. Or you can eat liver, which is rich in copper, but also in iron (bad) and maybe other toxic trace minerals.

All oral. Not necessarily with food, I try to get stomach acid going before like drinking some water with a bit of lemon juice in it.

Histamine is caused by bacteria. It's not surprising because they drive a lot of the processes behind hair loss, and people with high bacteria count are often bald. Avoiding starch, and using coconut oil in meals and bicarbonate sodium (a teaspoon) 45 mins after meals; should take care of that. Nature has a lot of antiseptics though. Glycine, Riboflavin (B2), Oregano Oil, Ceylon Cinnamon, Methylene Blue, Sulphur, Taurine, Lemon, Garlic, Zinc and Copper. Don't take probiotics imo, the goal is to reduce bacteria count, not increase it.

Yeah the raw carrot, maybe. The study was done with simply a raw carrot, which increased bacterias by passing undigested. But Peat's version is with coconut oil, vinegar and salt, which are antiseptics, so maybe the fact that it passes through and then colon/small intestine get access to it and so, the antiseptics that are attached to it, are what makes it good.

Watermelons are good, grapes are estrogenic. Eat them with complete meals. You don't want fruits with polyphenols or any kind of flavonoids and such, they are either estrogenic or have undesired effects despite also having anti-cancer attributes which make them popular. Like berries are full of them. Things close to a simple mix of sugar and potassium. Idk, I'd stick with watermelon, you don't need to eat a lot of them. When you stay calm you don't need to eat as much fruits, when you stress the urge appears. I had reviewed most fruits and ended up with pineapples as the most ideal, so I kinda forgot which others weren't so bad. Bananas, kiwis, tomatoes, oranges contain serotonin. Just seeing how popular orange juices are in a supermarket, and that 99% of things that are mass-marketed are bad for your health, should be a good notice. Same with milk.

Aspirin is a crutch and a bad one at that. Down the arachidonic acid (omega-6) cascade goes COX-2 and Lipoxygenase, both are very inflammatory but aspirin only takes care of COX-2. Some study show that it even increases Lipoxygenase metabolites, which are even worse for hair and prostate cancer, because it simply diverts the cascade. On this matter, a bit of omega 3 (from chia seeds for instance) is superior because it competes with arachidonic acid in general, blocking the two pathways. There's also studies on rebound effect after aspirin (more inflammation) and immune reactions. My two cents : just avoid omega-6's and fill up on coconut oil.

BTW you can add lean meat to the diet I wrote, that's basically what I was eating all along when I got good results. It's more about starch avoidance.

Yes, casomorphins are not related to milk fat but to milk protein. It's not anti-androgenic per se, it's an effect from all opioids. On the other hand, you'd get androgen-boosting effects from butter and other saturated fats. The overall effect in milk would tend to be negative, and even worse with cheese since it's more concentrated in casein.

edit : Wanted to add something for @helpmyhair

Since you already have histamine problems, I just want to add that citric acid and all citruses release histamine. So it might be important for you to drop the OJ. Like when I suggest lemon juice, it's really just a little bit in my water. If I add too much I might sneeze and get itchy. It doesn't happen for me with magnesium citrate because taking such a high dose of magnesium at the same time will control mast cells and block calcium receptors, which are the ones who release histamine. In general magnesium should help with your histamine symptoms anyway.

Thanks for answering.
I think there's a graph around here with serotonin content of many fruits. If I remember correctly, pineapples and plantains/bananas had the highest concentration. Oranges seemed to have very low serotonin. Are you worried about the lycopene content in some fruits like watermelon? It seems to lower DHT.
