I was quite happy to discover this company, anylabtestnow. I've been frustrated for two years by HMO corporate medicine rules and stubborn doctors. I wasn't even too concerned about paying for it myself, I just needed a doctor to order the tests.

They have an MD on staff and a nurse (RN I think) draws the blood right there. Results are usually back in 1-2 days.

When I started listing the different thyroid tests I wanted she said they have a "thyroid followup panel" which isn't on the web site. Free T3, free T4, total T3, total T4, TSH and reverse T3 is US$155. The rT3 takes a week to come back because it goes to a different lab.

Also, if you get a package like the basic package for $129 and you don't want one of the tests listed, you can swap out for another test that costs the same. I think it is a pretty decent way to do it.

Good point, I hadn't thought of it that way but it's true.

One other thing, they are fine with doing it anonymously, just want a date of birth and phone number. I didn't even give my right date of birth.
