How much salt do you consume daily? Increasing my salt intake seems to help me stay calm and warm.

I do sometimes if I feel like I need more salt. It's surprisingly good.

I find that salty milk tastes kinda gross. I just make sure to liberally salt all my foods that taste good with salt.

I add 1/4 teaspoon to about 1 litre and a half 5 tablespoons sugar

Any other tips? Or just salt?

RP used to prevent his migraine onset by eating quart of ice cream
and later he figure out raw carrot salad was doing the same.
Large caloric intake of mainly sugar with some nutrients
can prevent stress related problem immediately.

RP recommends sweet ripe pulp free orange juice, which
is hard to find. A lot people have problem with orange juices.
You can try good quality mould free Apple Juice
or other fruit juices. You can add juice concentrate without
pulp and bad ingredients as a source of sugar and nutrients.

I have ocassionally used Twix bars ( 300 calories without much fluid)
to maintain blood sugar. Twix is not peaty but you will able to
find some type of bars which are more peaty or you can
make one yourself. This one i use in emergency.

Excess liquid worsens hypothyroid symptoms.
Adding salt and other alkaline minerals helps
but you can figure out yourself what amount
of fluid does not cause problem.

Endotoxin is the most likely cause of stress.
Eating easily digestible foods without allergens
and gut irritant should help liver to store enough
glycogen to prevent stress response. Regular
raw carrot salad or cooked mushroom/bamboo
shoots are almost essential for good liver and
thyroid function.

+1

Maybe try drinking smaller amounts when thirsty, more often if necessary, so you don't overwhelm the system with too much fluid at once.
You can watch the colour of the output, and try to avoid drinking so much that it goes clear.

Heat! Hot Showers, sauna, hot baths with epsom salts...this will help to relax you.

Slowly begin to ascend in calories if you can afford it.

You can try to supplement things like l-theanine, l-glutamine, and passion flower.

Starch needs a lot of insulin to be metabolised compared
to fructose+glucose . Excess insulin can cause low blood sugar
then high cortisol and then finally high blood sugar.
This can make you feel thirsty.

You can replace pancake with some fructose+glucose
source to see how thirsty you feel. I think quality of sleep
and food ingested the night before play a big role how
we react to breakfast. I ate raw carrot salad in the
late afternoon separate from the meal or ate some
cooked bamboo shoots or cooked mushroom with food.
Then avoid starch and fibrous food from sunset to bedtime.

In past i could tolerate starch only for lunch time.
Fructose is very efficient at repleting liver glycogen storage.
If you do not have problem with milk protein then
eating strained yogurt or farmers cheese with cooked
fruits and sugar/honey can replace pancake.

Chocolate can cause low blood sugar.
You can make some kind of bar without chocolate.
It is safer to keep carb to protein ratio at least 2:1.
Eat most of your protein during day time, and
mostly fat and carb at night. If dairy is a problem
you can try chicken breast with some extra calcium
to balance out the calcium phosphorus ratio.
Low fat seafood like shrimp squid can be eaten.
Though some people react badly to histamine in
seafood. Gelatin is great if you can digest it.

Baking soda in orange juice is very good. Not only buffers the acid but adds quite a bit of sodium as well. Although if you're cold/anxious, even this would be too much. I would just say, as a general habit, when you DO have orange juice, try doing it with a little baking soda and see if that helps.

Personally I don't drink OJ anymore and just eat whole oranges, but that's just what I like, and it works much better for me. Mandarins are my favorite.

Cold hands/feet are a dead giveaway that your fluid intake is too high.
You need calorie dense foods with as little fluids as possible to start balancing this out. Think:

-Fruit + Cheese
-Corn tortillas fried in coconut oil and liberally seasoned with salt. Can add cheese as well or whatever else you want
-Chili. However you wanna make it. With cheese

My guiltiest pleasure (one of them) is fruit preserves. Oh my god. Apricot preserves are heavenly with Brie cheese, which happens to be one of my favorite cheeses. If you want to warm up right away, try having a bunch of hard cheese and some natural fruit preserves made with sugar. I always prefer whole fruit, like mandarin oranges, but the preserves are nice in a pinch for a concentrated sugar source with very, very little fluid. And you do get at least a little real fruit in there even though it's not much.

Fruit + Cheese is seriously the easiest of all the possible options. Like whole oranges and cheddar/brie/gouda/whatever. It's also interesting to see how your body responds with free reign to have as much of either. Some days you might really be craving more cheese and other days you might just have a couple bites of cheese and eat a whole 3lb bag of oranges. I do think that, at least for me, fruit and cheese are close to a perfect food combination and cover a very large amount of a person's daily nutrient needs if eaten in quantity.

OJ and milk are the diluted forms of these things. If you're really struggling, I would advise going for the hard cheeses and whole fruits. Same nutrients, slower delivery and less fluid = warmer body temps and less crashing.
