An Observation & Question About Soreness From My Workouts .

When the gyms closed for COVID I was forced to work out at a local park and decided to add running up/down bleachers into the mix. Normally I avoid any hardcore cardio because it's typically always worked against my gains (too catabolic?).

At any rate - I would start the workout running bleachers, then move on to pullups, pushups, etc. etc and doing this routine once a week. I swear, my legs burned like no other. My other muscles felt nice and full. I was sore as hell (which I like) and my body felt nice a pump for at least 3-4 days. After the fifth week they blocked off access to the bleachers at the high school I was running them. Since then that has mostly all gone away.

Anyone have any insight on why that would be? Was this all from increased blood flow and oxygen from running the bleachers? I want to get back to how I felt. For the last year or so in the gym, I just haven't been able to maintain a pump and am rarely ever sore.
