I know amitriptiline knocks people out for days. Guess the 5ht7 additional antagonism does it

they wont give me mirtiazpine because they are worried about weight gain it seems every anti serotonin drug i come across knocks you out i havent tried ondancestron to say that one does too though. Well Mirtazepine is blocking 2A, 2B, and 3 receptors for 5ht. I honestly think the adrenergic, and histamine blockade is causing the somnolence. I’ve taken this years ago at 15-30 mg, even 7.5 was sleep inducing. At those doses, it has greater affinity for the adrenaline attenuation. So yeah, same reason trazadone and low dose seroquel put people out.
